Rings of Power Stuff

I wonder if they'll give him a short, horrible hairstyle like they did most of the other Elves. 😫
I vote for flat tops:

I do believe RoP will continue to give us amazing things leaping out to be seen and discovered, even as we re-watch them.
My concern is whether those things will be along the lines of the Sharknado absurdities, rather than along the lines of something a bit less slapstick.

As most of you already know, RoP and Sharknado both sit on my 'put on to watch as background when mindless is the goal" list.

@Old Ent

I like the Sharknado connection.
Maybe we shoulld write to Amazon that we wanna see Mordor under the sea (or lava), and orcs and trolls being catapulted from it, and land right in front of Galadriel, where she will slay them all. And after she rescue Celeborn that have flat top hair, they both slay the orcs and trolls until the end of season.
The harfoots would live up to their tradition by leaving everyone behind, that has been struck by falling burning orc or troll.

You had me fooled man, your dislike of people's dislike of the show had me thinking you in fact liked it.
Ah, here you see how poorly I am able to communicate.

1. I do not dislike people's dislike of the show. I dislike how they tend to EXPRESS their dislike of the show... particularly when it includes discourtesy to those who may actually like it, and seems to insist everyone agree with them in their dislike. There's a huge difference. (I'm also always concerned about devoting so much negative, destructive energy to things when it can be translated into effective, productive positive energy...especially when some seem to 'live there' constantly.)

2. Somewhere, and I think in more than one place, I was sure I had noted in various ways I do not personally appreciate things about RoP. Yet I try to enjoy it for what it is, rather than compare it to what it is not. (Like any other show.) But I'm positive certain I've mentioned more than once I've relegated it to 'background fare' when no real attention needs to be paid to what's 'on the tube' (to use a very outdated phrase.)

3. The big disclaimer with my Sharknado / RoP connection is this: Sharknado is INTENTIONALLY outrageous, and tries to compare itself to nothing 'real' in the world. RoP is UNFORTUNATELY outrageous. as it does try to compare itself to something 'real' in this world.

That said, it's really a bit easier to enjoy Sharknado for what it is, than to enjoy RoP for what it is.

Hopefully this makes sense and helps explain.

Lol. At my age, you look 15 or 16 too..!! I'm convinced most people driving cars are too young to be doing so.
You're certainly not the first to say that... At this point, I need to start wearing a shirt or something that says "Yes, I am 25. Yes, I know I look younger than that. Yes, I know I will appreciate it when I'm 40." I basically have that exact conversation with every person I meet. (I don't understand why people are so hung up on how old I look anyway?)

because humanity is a race with an infinite number of labels and holes to try to stuff people into, so they can 'understand' them, make 'generallizations' about them, judge them according to each individual's pre-set 'scale of acceptability' based on what society and the media have programmed them to think, and then write them off as being "fully comprehended."

Heaven forbid we'd leave any pre-defined stone unturned in classifying the acceptability/rejectability of any given person based on our own scales of judgment.

(But... it's not that I think humans are a bit.... off..... or anything.)

However, lest we further derail this thread, I suppose a return to RoP in some way is in order.

I think they're just startled is all. I'd certainly mention it.
And if this casting trend in ROP continues you might very well be up for a spot yourself.
I wonder what they'll do about casting even 'younger' elves in the show. Whoever they may be.
