Season 3 news - posted without comment

Clickbait. The fact they got their contract extended and the plans for five seasons is on track was announced weeks ago.

Isn't writing "posted without comment" a comment in itself? To have been truly posted without comment, nothing would have been written past the word 'news. 😆

Amazon has said that 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power', launched in the fall of 2022, was the most-watched Amazon Original in every region
Of course, this is no wonder when a huge amount of money was paid for the naming rights.
Unfortunately, only about 1/3 watched to the end. (And half of them were hate-watchers like me. 😜 ) But apparently Amazon doesn't want to consider that yet.

I've watched it through a few times. It is better as a binge. The weekly episode format doesn't do it any favors. I'll wait for all the episodes drop before I start on season 2.

Yes, presumably if you want your mind to explode in one go rather than bit by bit.

Unfortunately, I only see one chance to enjoy the series, and it has the following prerequisites:
1) You've never read anything by Tolkien on the Second Age. (Or rather, you've never read anything at all).
2) You're not particularly familiar with really good series.

(Apart from that, I agree with you that it's generally better to binge-watch. Preferably even if all seasons have already been released).

Being three come out right away, I'll watch them, then wait for the other five and watch them all in October.

It's good they're already working on season 3. Hopefully there won't be as large of a gap between S2 & S3.
More Season 3 (and beyond) News. I read another source that once season 3 is greenlit, Amazon may greenlight the remaining 16 episodes so they can work on them as soon as they finish season 3's episodes. I'll have to find that link and I'll edit it in when I do.

I decided to follow the series via YouTube critiques. I've determined it's a good source of unintentional comedy.

It's a pity that this guy is involved in trash series like ROP.
He should be in much better series.
Scenes where he, and the guy who played Adar in first season... are the only ones.. where I actually payed some attention....

Great actor and he have charisma.

Haters gotta hate, I guess.

Meanwhile, Jaimie Campbell-Bower will portray Celeborn in the upcoming season 3! Flashback maybe? I like this!
