I'm re-reading The Hobbit. I hope to make 2026 a year to re-read The Hobbit, LOTR, The Silmarillion, and Unfinished Tales. After too many years away, in some cases. Just finished the chapter on Beorn - "Queer Lodgings" - and it has me thinking about the magic of Beorn, and of the animals he...

I purchased some artwork for a book I am writing but will have no more need of them once the book is published. I will send the original file and all rights to the pictures including rights to make a profit in any way you wish. I only reserve the right to continue to include them in any future...

Beorn said radagast was not bad for a wizard, so they must have met, but where?

Hi everyone, Until I get a job and start making money I can't afford to get the rest of the LOTR. :( (Just when I finished FOTR!!!:mad:) Anyway, I remember during the chapter "Many Meetings" Gloin mentions the Beornings. My question is what were they doing during the whole of the...

Not only Galadriel was announced on the 7th! According to theonering.net Beorn, Balin and others have been announced. Why is the IMDB so slow to update things now? In order for people to subscribe to premium, is the premium updated faster? Well anyway, here's a link to it all. Just now...

In the Hobbit comes one of the (I think) most interesting characters: Beorn. I thought about a few things about Beorn, and came to this conclusion: he is related to the Druadan. I think this because in the Hobbit, it says he may be descended from the mountains. The only other people who I found...

Two week ago I was asked about the Beornings: who are they, how many are they, is there any information about that race. We know that Beorn helped the Dwarves and Bilbo while they were going to Mirkwood. He was a bear and a human. But how many are the Beornings? In the Lord of the Rings we find...

In the Hobbit Beorn is a man: a large, impressive man who can change into a bear and takes in travelers. In the Lord of the Rings the Beornings are a race of people, supposedly many men, who make good honey cakes and seem to inhabit the land around Beorn's Carrock. Now undoubtably, Beorn...

Why didn't Gondor frickin call for THEIR aid? If Beorn showed up the Pellenor Feilds woulda been an orc and Mumak massacre. Was he fighting against Mt. Gundabad in the North? I thought only the Silvan Elves were fighting against the Gundabadian forces?

In fact I'm not sure who the beornings are... I suppose they are Beorn's descendants and/or the men who lived between Misty Mountains and Mirkwood at the time of The Hobbit. Anyway, I don't remember having heard of them anywhere other than The Hobbit. There it is said that they freed the...

Why does Beorn change into different creatures? Also, how many things can he turn into and what are they????

My English teacher went way off topic in class today, as he usually does;), and started talking about Norwegian customs, languages and the such. It just so happens he told us the most common boy name in Norway: Björn. Pronounced Bee-Orn. This sounds an aweful lot like the Bay-Orn in...

I am wondering how the beornings are named. If i could figure out what they called gandalf in the hobbit.... Would they use elvish names since they live so close to the elves in the kingdom of mirkwood?

I'm reading The Felloship of The Ring book now and I remeber reading that when Bilbo and Frodo were talking it said that Frodo found out Beorn had a son named Reorn or something like that and I was just wondering if anyone knows who Beorn's wife is. :confused...

Who or what is Beorn? I think it says in The Hobbit that he's a 'shape changer', but who actually is he, and who are the Beornings? ~Kit
