Click bait title. But it does make me curious if others here hold this opinion or just what kind of opinions are out there on the topic of everything JRR didn't publish or write word for word...
Some members of the forum do not see Dagor Dagorath as canon because Dagor Dagorath was removed from the script by Christopher. Just because of this, it is not accepted for Turin to kill Melkor. friends, dagor dagorath is canon in my opinion. because it was removed from the story not by Tolkien...
I was wondering if anyone knew if Christoper Tolkien or Allen Lee made any comments either positive or negative on the dedication of the Ents in the movies?
Guess I found my answer, he did the drawings for the ents but not treebeard...
After working through the History of Middle-earth volumes, I have begun to question whether Christopher Tolkien made the right decision with the conclusion he chose for the published Silmarillion. I finally gathered all of my thoughts together here - making a case that he probably should have...
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
- Gandalf, The Gray
I don't know if there are words to accurately describe how much Mr. Tolkien contributed to our community and the world. Let's take a moment to thank him for everything. 🥺...
I found an article about Christopher's stance on Jackson's depictions on his father's work.

This is the English translation of an interview given in French to Raphaëlle Rérolle of LE MONDE. The original French text is linked at the end of the article...
This video link may have already been posted in the past; but its appearance on The Tolkien Society (UK) Facebook page encouraged me to post it here for a wider Tolkien audience.
It is Christopher Tolkien, talking to camera, about his father's Legendarium and how The Hobbit and The Lord of...
From what I've heard Tolkien was not very organized and his handwriting was not the greatest, so what I was wondering was does anyone have news if Christopher Tolkien is working on anything else from his father's writings?
Also, Christopher is getting up there in age, what happens when he...
Perhaps I'm selfish and want more from Tolkien's work, I dunno...
But after reading The Hobbit, LoTR, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales, and BoLT2, I just wonder what it would have been like if Christopher would have continued on his fathers legendarium instead of publishing his unfinished...
Here's something interesting: http://blogumentary.typepad.com/chuck/2004/01/christopher_tol.html , the title of which is: "Christopher Tolkien is a big [Sorry — this being a family-friendly place, you'll have to go there to see what he is...]"
Evidently, the man is absolutely possessive about...
