First of all, don't think that gothmog will win because gothmog is maia. because it is written in lotr.fandom and on some sites that Morgoth created dragons and glaurung by using the maiar under his command. that is, it says that dragons are of maia origin and that while they were created, some...
Melkor & Ancalagon The Black & Gothmog VS Tulkas
Battle takes place in Mordor.
Basic knowledge for both sides.
Fight till death.
Who wins and why.
I just want to see who people believe can win this battle.. :rolleyes:
@Erestor Arcamen
What are your thoughts on this battle..?
does anyone here have any info on Gothmog the lord of the balrogs, other than that he attacked gondolin and was killed by ecthelion (who also died in the fight)?....
Like the text says, there is neither further evidence for nor against this unusual moniker of the Lord of Balrogs. How would you explain it?
Isn't it ironic how a character who is supposedly 'the voice of Morgoth' never utters a single word? :D
Do you think perhaps Gothmog was the 'voice...

Which elves or men living in Middle-earth near the end of the third age (if any) might stand a chance against Gothmog, Lord of Balrogs?
Anyone other than Glorfindel? If you know someone, please explain why you think they could do it.
Gothmog
After the Lord of the Nazgul is slain at Pellenor, Tolkien writes that Gothmog leads the armies of Sauron. Obviously, this is not the Gothmog of the Silmarillion, the Lord of the Balrogs, so who is he? Is he another Nazgul? I don't think there is another reference to him in LOTR but...
