OK all you Harry Potter Book Fans, here's your big chance to own not one but four versions (all First Editions) of the first book of the series, courtesy of ABE Books: (You just may have to take out a second mortgage to get them, tho'....)

We all know what Maeglin has done and why it was wrong, and I'm not trying to defend a supposed murder and a possible rapist, but I also can't help but find the similarities between his case and Snape's, a beloved character of Harry Potter. Snape loved Lily, Harry's mother, and Maeglin loved...

Gonna have to say but. I think movie Snape is way better. I have never read Harry Potter books before. But from looking at some YouTube videos analyzing the differences, i like Movie Snape more. Because i get the impression he is a huge jerk in the books, whereas in the movie he is just way more...

Hey everyone, I personally am a big critic of the Harry Potter series, although I must confess that I have never read the series, simply because I have no desire to. I believe that it copied Lord of the Rings and more primarily Tolkien in countless ways. So, this thread is for everyone to...

I just rented Harry Potter, having just finished the book. I know it terms of sheer scope Tolkiens and Rowling's books can't even be compared. They are totally different, and I honestly don't think there is any question as to which is largely superior. But I was wondering what people thought in...
