I want to bring light to what people say about Rings of Power. Not just the data on the first week of each season. If you would be so kind as to give me your two cents on the show by taking my survey I'd greatly appreciate it. I'll come back here and post the results in about a month...
The proof is Rotten Tomatoes webpage.
So basically. Critics hated "War of Rohirrim" movie but audiences accepted it (Now personally. I had some issues that this doesnt really feel 100% like Tolkien story, but more at best a loose story that has some elements of Tolkien stuff in it. If anything...
I honestly would love a spin off of the show and I think a good direction would be for them to adapt the Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War. Maybe not exactly like the games but I do love the idea of Talion being given a live action series. Granted I don't see this Celebrimbor becoming the...
Been doing a binge and while I know he's manipulating everyone I can't help but wonder if there's some sincerity to what he claims. Like I do think he believes that he's creating a lasting peace but I think he's so far gone he no longer sees how Morgoth has twisted him.
Article in Forbes (website)...read it while you can; there is no paywall for it (at the moment)
The Real Reason Tolkien Fans Can’t Stand ‘The Rings Of Power’—It’s Not Just ‘Trolls’
https://warfantasy.wordpress.com/2024/04/21/warfare-in-rings-of-power-season-1/
As in everything else, Rings of Power have chosen to go for brainless “epicness” in their depiction of warfare as well. Not many good things can be said about this “epic” TV show, and warfare in it is no exception.
So I'm entering the final stretch of my lengthy and leisurely re-read of the Silmarillion, now past the Akalabeth.
I've been a little OCD about delving into an expanded perspective of The Silmarilliion, and part of this was an excursion into the different versions of The Ruin of Doriath...
So many people, when ROP was released, that it contradicted many aspects of Tolkien lore (for example, Morgoth created Mount Doom in the First Age, but it was a dormant ice volcano in ROP's Second Age)
I wanna see every contradiction in Rings of Power.
Note: We will not be focusing on the...

Interesting article from ScreenRant. :)
So, what do you think of it?
I still haven't watched Barbie movie, so I can't list 888 reason why it's better then ROP, but...
Working on some Gandalf artwork, and wanting Narya to be shown, as well as correct a thing often missed in Gandalf pictures done. (We'll see how that goes.)
Researching the Lore, whether it be the Elven 3 or the One Ring, this Ent has not found anything relating to which hand the rings were...
Simon Tolkien, son of Christopher Tolkien, is probably one of the worst things that has happened to the Tolkien family and JRRT's legacy. Just listen what he says in a segment of the above video.
More details below:
Just a thought when I was watching The Rings of Power.
Since there is no accounted fate for Maglor, besides walking the seashore in pain and sorrow, could Adar be Maglor? Of course, I understand that everything in The Rings of Power, is standalone, and does not have bearing onto Tolkien's...
SHALLOW "REPRESENTATION"
By Trent Lynn Clark
Amazon’s “The Rings of Power” cost billions and delivered a 100 million person audience that isn’t shabby among today’s streaming options. But the series fell painfully short of replicating the Tolkien legacy with storytelling of multi-generational...
To my understanding, this question roughly translates as: Are fëa (souls) compositionally the same as "holy light" (e.g. from the Two Lamps, Two Trees, Silmarils, etc.)?
In the same way that Melkor grew weaker across the ages by investing himself in his monstrous creations, I surmise Sauron...
