sauron

Saw a question about this on Quora. Who would win in a fight, Sauron or Smaug? The answers mostly favored Sauron, some going so far as to say that Sauron (and even Durin's Bane) easily outclasses Smaug. What these answers fail to consider is that Sauron was vanquished by a Man and an Elf...

I don't usually care for "What If" questions. To me, the book is good enough for me, warts and all. In my view, any warts that might exist are excusable considering The Lord of the Rings was not a book that Tolkien ever set out to write of his own volition, but rather to fill a demand. But...

This is the thing i'm most curious about! To me it should be a androginous looking guy since he will be Annatar his "fair" form. Let me know what you guys think.

As title, the Numenor played Sauron like a piece of cake by their superior military, then here came a problem, how did they they deal with the One Ring? Or the One Ring, in fact, all it got was nothing but bulletting noobs rivals, unless it had the power of mind-control, not revealed by the...

What's Sauron's next move after finishing the Numenor during the 2nd Age? As we already knew the reasons why he didn't use the Numenor to destroy the elves before the Valinor Expedition might get concluded into 2 options-underestimating Gil-Galad and the Faithful, or overestimating the cost to...

Hi What Would The Valar Have Done If Sauron Won The War Of The Ring? Would They Have Helped Out Against Sauron Like With Morgoth? If Not Why? If Yes Why And How? Also How Did Manwe And Varda Get News Of The Events In Middle Earth After Eru Removed The Undying Lands From The World?

As title, we all knew that orcs were nothing but exp gift packs often, in military battles. Yet as Dark Numenoreans started joining Sauron, did they help him, such as providing Mithril Craftsman personnel(orcs were too stupid to learn it's craftsmanship) and so on. The Dark Side Men seemed to...

Hi If Sauron Had Got The Ring Back Would He have used it to Free His Master Morgoth From The Timeless Void if he could? If Yes Why? If Not Why?

What If Gandalf Had Decided to Return to The Undying Lands Before The Defeat Of Sauron? If He Could Would Manwe Have Welcomed Him Back? Please explain

Why Did The Valar choose To Send The 5 Wizards To Help The People Of Middle - Earth Against Sauron instead of taking an Army to destroy Him Themselves?

I am Not trying To Offend Anyone in Terms Of Faith, But I always wondered Can Sauron In Numenor telling People To Worship Morgoth Be Compared To The Antichrist And His False Prophet In The Book Of Revelation? If Yes Why and How? If Not Why? And What Other Bible Themes Are There in The Works Of...

He was in the movie. Which means if Bilbo didnt find the ring then it would be game over. But is it from the book?

Hello everyone! 👋 Thanks for stopping by, here's the second episode in the lore of arda series. Today's topic is The Watcher in the water, where I'll try and find as much information about it as possible. If you have ideas for future videos about the lore of Middle-earth feel free to leave a...

if the free people sent a messanger with the ring over the sea to the undying lands to plead for aid from the valar what would they have responded? would they have rejected the plea for aid against sauron? or would they have helped out and cast sauron into the void beyond the door of night like...

In other words, could Gondor c. 1050 have defeated Mordor c. 3019? Obviously, Gondor at the end of the third age was able to defeat Sauron's forces on the Pelennor Fields. I'm talking about an actual campaign. We know Gondor went into prolonged decline for the latter half of the third age. But...

For me, Sauron is one of the characters most fascinating „Wiser than Morgoth, not a beginner of discord, probably knowing more of the music than did Melkor“ P. 395 Morgoth’s Ring. He is absolutely not one-sided and he wasn’t fallen from the beginning. In Morgoth’s Ring It is pointed out that...
