Hello! I am working on customizing a door. The idea is to have a border of characters (I have space for 51) I am thinking Cirth, but maybe Tengwar.
What I am looking for is a translation of:
into Quenya ideally, and/or Sindarin (just for fun)
and then transcribed into Cirth and carved by me...
Well met friends!
May I ask for some help checking over my translation? I'm looking to translate "not all those who wander are lost". I belive I translated it to "law pain i revlar mistar aen" and then again, giving the attached result.
Have I done this right?
Thank you in advance.
Greetings!
I'm currently on the process of getting a correct Sindarin translation of a phrase from the Peter Jackson's movies: they differ from the books, but since it's for a tattoo, a shorter version is more manageable.
The phrase is "Fell deeds awake! Now for wrath, now for ruin, and a red...
Hello!
May I ask for the help of any Sindarin experts here to please check my amateurly coined words? I wanted to come up with a few titles and nicknames for Thranduil, in his role as Elvenking, and here is what I've cobbled together using Parf Edhellen:
Belaith ("The Mighty" - Sindarin) --...
As part of a D&D prop, I wanted to make an Elven scroll inscribed with Tengwar. Although I studied to write in texts such as Cirth and Tengwar, I don't not speak any of the correlating languages. I am a long standing DM and have made many IRL props to accompany the game, including ones the...
Evening all,
First off, thank you very much for having me here!
I'm going to be super unoriginal here and ask for some help translating one of gandalfs famous phrases. I have seen posts before asking for the same thing, but it always gets linked back into tamwar (sorry if I've just butchered...
Hello there!
I ask for your help, dear experts.
Please help me determine whether such an inscription "love and gratitude" in Sindarin has the right to exist and whether it is correct?
I doubt the presence of upper apostrophes above the first letter of the second word.
Maybe there are more...
I am trying to design a memorial tattoo for my little brother that has just passed. He loved everything elven. He would write his journals in Sindarin. I need to know how to spell his name using the Sindarin alphabet. His name is RYAN KEITH SMITH. Or perhaps a translation of the meaning of the...
Hi, so I've been working on translating two sentences into sindarin. I'm going to have them tattooed so I want them to be as accurate as possible.
They are:
"I have passed through fire." and
"and I have forgiven those who trespassed against me." (a mix of the last lines in the lord's prayer and...
Hello all,
I'd like to check a Sindarin translation and (if the translation is correct) the transcription that goes with it. I won't take credit for the whole translation - it's heavily borrowed from Ryszard Derdzinski's translations of the Riddle of Strider and The Road Goes Ever On - but I...
Another newbie requesting some help!

Security withoutimpulsivity
Humilitywithoutlow self-esteem

Than i had some restrictions and replaced:

Hello I was wondering if you all could help me with a translation? I would like to translate "I am the Evil’s Bane" into sindarin. I am aware that it won't translate directly and that's fine. Any and all help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Hello
I came across a translation of Gandalf's advise to Frodo Which ends with
Following with the phrase: "For even the very wise can not see all ends" which, in Sindarin, reads: "Dan na-bant i idhren ú-'âr i gened i-mithid bain".
(Web link: http://www.elvish.org/gwaith/gandalf.htm)...
Hi! I'm looking for the proper Sindarin translation for:
1) serpent of starlight and
2) dragon of starlight
Based on the dictionary found at www.ambar-eldaron.com/ I found that
Emlyg => serpent, Ihuig -> dragon, and Gilgalad (or Gil-galad)-> starlight
Can these be combined to form the...
