Yeah, even Captain-classes personnel, like Boromir and Faramir could be noticed only through dreams. Are there any other sources to describe Rivendell classified level, authorized by JRRT? It's obvious at least before Saruman begun to get absent from the White Council, Gondor might have already...
Was Dol Guldur populated by trolls? what sort of creatures resided there at the time of the war of the ring? was Tolkien specific? I don't have my LOTR copy hand.
If Sauron won the war of the ring would the Valar and Eru have abandoned The Free People Of Middle Earth to their fate? or would they have intervened? if yes why and how? if no why?
Just got war of the ring for x-mas it has great reviews i'll let you know how it is.

Played it and its amazing. Highly recommended.
It's your boy back with another spooky topic, I seem to be pretty obsessed with wights and all of that so I'm sorry if this is too similar to my former thread. Anyways I shall start with a bit of lore from the Lord of the Rings Online game:
— Located in the north-west of the North Downs, where...
(OOC)This is an open RPG, anyone can join, just jump into the story. My character, Nieswyn, is on a journey to redemption (read on, you'll get it) from injustice done by King Eomer. (I like making good guys look like jerks!) Anyway, you don't need to post a profile, just make sure you describe...
Is there any mention in Tolkien's writings about whether Osgiliath becomes the capital of Gondor again after the destruction of the One Ring and the subsequent fall of Sauron? Or is Minas Tirith (or is it once again Minas Anor?) to remain the permanent capital that it became later in the Third Age?
J. R. R. Tolkien - Letter 140
I now suggest as titles of the Volumes under the over-all title lord of the Rings: Volume I: The Fellowship of the Ring, Volume II: The Two Towers, Volume III: The War of the Ring (or, if you still prefer that: The Return of the King).
The Fellowship of the Ring...
Why didn't Gondor frickin call for THEIR aid?
If Beorn showed up the Pellenor Feilds woulda been an orc and Mumak massacre.
Was he fighting against Mt. Gundabad in the North? I thought only the Silvan Elves were fighting against the Gundabadian forces?
Who had the greater impact on the way things happened in Middle-Earth - Merry or Pippin? Can we say either one of them had a more negative than positive impact?
Keep in mind that 'impact' can be both positive and negative. The poll asks a neutral question.
I'm really shocked by the dwarves indifference with the war of the ring and the fate of ME. After all they were invited to the council, being one of the most important free people in ME, which would suffer its fate and were bound to the ring's fate then. Sending Gimli doesn't represent ANYTHING...
I can not remember if anything but What happened to the Land of Mordor after the war of the ring? Would it tell in the appendix? I havent read the appendix's in a long time!
Why is the Battle of Bywater and the Passing of Saruman considered the end of the War of the Ring?
Sauron's downfall should have been considered as the end IMHO. The matter of the rings had come to an end when the One was destroyed and the other rings had become obsolete.
Any suggestions?
Did anybody hear about the new computer game "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Ring." It's a RTS game. It will come out early 2004, and I can't wait!!
Gandalf to Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. The coming of Gandalf obviously marks the turning point in the war of the ring towards the west. But how great exactly was Gandalfs role in the war of the ring after his return?
So Gandalf made a heoric rescue of Erkenbrand and returned at the...
This may seem dumb and stupid, but I dont think it will hurt anyone. Why couldnt Rivendell and the enemies of Sauraun look to Beleriand for help. From what I have learned and just remember from the Silmarilian that there is many elves up there, some who are not allowed to go back to the undying...
