All the middle earth books you have?

I find BookCrossing really useful. There're many boxes with books in one of the parks in my neighborhood. They are located in different parts of the park, so looking for books can result in a pleasant walk. I also have a single card for almost all libraries in my city. A lot of them have been renovated and involved in cultural events. Books in BookCrossing boxes and in libraries are absolutely free. The difference is that you can own (take or share) books from BookCrossing, while books in libraries are borrowed.

Looking at y'all's great collections, my own books look so insignificant...
Keep in mind that I have grandchildren older than you, and my collection has been slowly growing since the 1980s. Be the patient lifelong fan and your collection will catch up with/pass us some day. It’ll be something your own grandchildren can get lost in exploring with you.

i got most my books in 6th grade or so and thus many are mass print which i am only now correcting as for many many years i have only read non-fiction.
(even sadder is some smell like cat pee since when one of my ex's moved out... she took my third bookshelf.. so i put all the mass prints kinda stacked up next to my main bookshelf as i owned a cat named Nova (he showed up on my doorstep at like 2am when it was 10 degrees and snowing out) for a year (a car got him) that i was informed was actually a feral cat and apparently he didn't like mass print books.. which isn't as bad as it sounds other than even if it was -10 outside.. i always had to have a window open or he would basically go insane... but since he could catch a bird in the air... 2x and id open my door to see a squirrel even 1 time a bat (in boulder,co...) at my doorstep means he liked me so he was cool with me.. or something like that

3 copies of LotR
- lotr illustrated 2021 (with that sick red fore-edge.. so cool so cool)
- mass print version of lotr (i read this once.. it is a horrible looking book.. but better than worrying about if im about to snap the spin in 2 like my other books)
- mass print fellowship, two towers (which i read so much the spines are basically ripping and are going to fall apart)
- a "nice" copy of rotk lol

- mass print hobbit (spine is not too bad prob only read it 2x)
- hardcover hobbit (gold 50th anniv)

- hardcover Silmarillion

- mass print shaping of middle earth
- mass print lays of beleriand (seems i never read it.. and this is likely when i got my complete works of Plato and went into non-fiction and never looked back)
- mass print lost tales 1 and 2 (binds are messed up)
- mass the lost road

- unfinished tales of numenor and middle earth (never read.. i assume i got this when i had a girlfriend who loved lotr but (and she moved in with me for a while) i could tell her books were UNREAD... she had more books than me.. but only read the hobbit.. i wonder if she ever actually read the lotr like she said she would (update.. i sent her pics of my new Tolkien books and she has read the books now and added even more to her collection)

- the 2020 HoME boxed set

- atlas of middle earth 1st edition (update)

- tolkien's world from A-Z the complete guide to middle earth (this was the 4th book i got after the hobbit and lotr) and i remember going through it like it was my wikipedia as a kid clicking from interesting thing to interesting thing as when it described something worthy of an entry it would tell u what page to flip to.. and i was flipping around all over the place as i had no idea as a kid that all the cool characters and wow what a cool sword or the lineage charts at the end of the books meant anything really.. to be shook that 4th guy on some lineage chart actually has a history and basically this book informed me that there was an actual history... and this was a real world (as real as an imaginary world can get i suppose) also kinda funny that if i bend the book slightly and let the pages open up to where the bind is most deformed.. it's right on Melkor.. and that sounds about right.. "oh man.. Sauron used to work for an even bigger and badder... bad guy? no way!?!"

books im certain to get
beren and luthien
nature of middle earth

Hi

I'm new here and was wondering if there is a place where people show off their book collection with pictures and all ? Might be fun to look at peoples collections.
