Some thoughts:
What do you think it would taste like?
Also, did Tolkien ever write anything about it beyond brief mentions in his stories?
I often think of Lembas as manna in the Bible (the food of angels) as elves are rather like angels and the food itself is unusual.

Lembas is of course a given :) But I can't recall Elves engaging in agriculture, managing livestock, or cooking. Since they live in the forest, maybe they were hunting game? 🤔
