Did Aragorn have Narsil in Fellowship of the Ring?

[Maegnas]

Did anyone else notice that Aragorn had Narsil in the FOTR. When they where on the Moutian aragorn half way pulled out his sword and it showed it as Narsil. then in the ROTK Elrond reforged it then gave it to him. Could anyone HELP.

That was his Ranger sword, Narsil/Andúril is much longer than the Ranger sword.
