Hair Dye, Cloning and General Epic Chaoticness

Welcome to the Chaotic RP of TTF! This is a fun, spontaneous, lighthearted, and most importantly, chaotic RP which is available to anyone who wishes to join. While our primary goal is to have fun, we have a few rules in order to keep some method to the madness.
  • Firstly, each character belongs to their respective TTF user. In other words, you can't write for a character if someone else has claimed that character. If you're new to the thread, please ask the group which characters are available before you claim one.
  • Even though this thread is chaotic and spontaneous, we do have a storyline going. If you're new to the thread, please read the most recent few pages, or more, so you're caught up on what's going on.
  • Make sure to interact with other people's characters. Don't just go off and write your own thing without interacting with anybody.
  • Don't completely ignore or change the storyline.
  • At the same time, please be flexible if someone introduces a new turn of the plot. This is not a carefully planned RP, and it needs to have flexibility for any chaotic new thing someone comes up with (within reason-- it does need to connect to the main story at least loosely).
  • If you are writing for multiple characters, use a script format to indicate which character is speaking. Use asterisks* to denote action. For example:
    • Maitimo: *tries to shake Celeraccoon off his arm* STOP BITING ME, TYELKO!
  • Try to keep spam to a minimum. I would define "spamming" in this thread as writing more than a page over the course of a few hours. (This can be a tough one to follow, I know.) But spamming makes it hard for other people to keep up.
  • At the same time, if you're going to be absent for an extended period of time, we recommend writing your character out temporarily (such as having them disappear or go somewhere) so other people can continue while you're gone.

*giggles in amusement as he watches Curvo flailing around in midair trying to get his balance, but is simultaneously excited this idea worked: to think of all the possibilities they’d be capable of now—!*

No need for happy thoughts? Psh. I bet there’s a happy thought somewhere deep inside you which allowed you to fly. Let me give it a try.

*takes a starting position and confidently leaps past Curvo, doing a somersault in the air* GERONIMOOOO!!!!

*he thinks as cheerily as possible, but to his shock, no matter how many happy thoughts he’s desperately thinking, the ground is coming up awfully fast*
*preparing to crash, he shuts his eyes and tenses himself at the last moment*

*after several seconds of nothing, he slowly opens his eyes as he swallows his pounding heart- he finds he’s staring at grass, but not touching it, which means…*

I’m-I’m flying! *laughing, he takes a few moments to gain his bearings before pushing off and soaring around, doing spins and other moves* I’M LIKE AN EAGLE NOW!!!!

*calling down to Laurinalótë on Curufin’s head* Laurinalótë! You. Are. AMAZING!!!

*pops up right above Tyelko’s and Íri’s heads, oriented upside-down with his braids falling* You guys have GOT to try this! It’s so much fun! If we can all fly now, it means we can search for Maitimo faster!

(I don’t mind bringing them in. Like SRG said, this is the chaotic thread after all! Ereinion and Lómion are on break hanging out with Ereinion’s mother, so right now you have Tyelko, Írissë, and Finrod. Getting to know more of Nessa would be interesting.)

(Also, Maitimo will be returning in a week or two, so if we still wanted to leave on our adventure to search for him, we’d probably better do it soon.)
 
*Tyelko, Íri and Finrod watch Curvo and Finno fly. Tyelko shakes his head, frowning at Finno's comment about the different sizes of fortresses as if it matters once your brain has splashed on the ground.
He couldn't lie to himself though, it did look fun.
Finrod's and Íri's hair start levitating due to the pixie dust on it and both, having them distracted as they smile in awe.*

*Tyelko opens his mouth, meaning to ask laurinalótë if he has any pixie dust left, watching his brother and cousin, and dog fly with grudging fascination until his eyes catch figures approaching from afar.*
*Not much can be seen from them besides them being three in number, one a bit shorter than the others*

*He signals for Íri to follow him and she picks up quickly, shouldering her own quiver and together, they approach the strangers*

*Once they get close enough to take a peek at their faces, though, they both stop in their tracks, shocked*

Tyelko, calmly: What is the meaning of this, Írissë Nolofinwiel?
Íri: I swear I've done nothing!
Nessa, stern and disgusted: Who is this, Íri? And care to explain where you have been all this time? Do you know how long I searched for you?!?

Other Fingon *when they are still approaching, decides to point out the obvious to his companions*: There’s two- no, three people approaching us.

Is one of them… flying??

*once close enough to address the visitors, his breath hitches and his jaw drops open in disbelief when he sees his sister* Í-Írissë? Is it really you?
 
*Nessa's head snap towards the flying creature-Elda-thing*
Are you sure the mushrooms you found for dinner were safe, Finno?
*Sighs and glares at him*
I knew I should have found something better to eat.

*Tyelko eyes her warily. It has not escaped his notice how similar this ...elleth is to him. Can she be their grandmother? But then, why is she so familiar with Íri? And why is she accompanied by Írissë's clones?
And why is she so grumpy? Shaking his head, he decides to say hi at least. His father would scold him otherwise.*

Granny Míriel! I'm glad we finally got to meet! As you see, I'm the only grandson with you ha---
Nessa: who you calling granny you unfortunate case?!

Finrod: ah...she doesn't sound as nice as Haru Finwë said she was....

Yes, I am sure! I know how to survive out in the wild too, you know. Judging as how you see it too, I’m guessing this isn’t an illusion. He flies like an Eagle, but appears to be just a normal Elda. Where did you bring us??

Finno 2: *nearly snorts in laughter at hearing Nessa being called a granny, but stops short, knowing the potential repercussions*

Nessa, calm down. Being hostile to them won’t yield any answers. What’s important is we found Íri, and— *finally takes a good look at the flying Elda who just landed with them* Is that me???

l've been following the droppings of the bat who took Nelyo.

.....What if this is the creature who stole him?!!
*notches an arrow carefully, eyes widening once she sees the creature's face*
Iri: I told you it wasn't me! I never made a Curvo clone to begin with! and Finclone is still turned off, safe in my lab!
*Tyelko and Nessa stare at each other long with Nessa glaring daggers at Tyelko, him watching her warily*
Nessa: I'm so glad I wasn't born a ner.
Tyelko. offended: What's that supposed to mean?!?
 
*Curufin spots the newcomers in the distance. There is something highly suspicious about one of them in particular...*

*He disappears into the top of some nearby trees, easily hopping between branches with his new powers of flight. Once he is above the small group, he drops down silently behind the suspicious one, while the strangers are being greeted by his brother and cousins.*

*Curufin taps Curvo on the shoulder*
*Curvo turns around, and looks unsurprised*

Curvo: I saw you over there. *he nods in the direction of the fortress* How are you flying?

Curufin: *smirks and points at Laurinalótë on his head* Flower power.

Curvo: *turns to look at the previously flying Fingon, seeing no flowers, but noticing a faint golden glitter*
The flower's pollen, correct. *it was barely a question*

Curufin: *unnecessarily, as his strange twin obviously has adequate perception* Correct.

*they both stand in silence for a moment, observing each other intensely, each studying the other's slight variations in posture and expression*

*slowly, a smirk reappears on Curufin's face*
Yes, we are indeed the same person. But you're just a bit younger, aren't you?

Curvo: *frowns slightly, but doesn't disagree*

Curufin: *still with that smirk* Can I call you Little Curvo?

Curvo: *not sure whether getting offended would be entirely justified*
*his jaw is slightly clenched as he speaks* That depends. Do you count as my older brother?

Curufin: *tilting his head, serious once more* I don't know. Tell me about your immediate family. That might give us some clues.

Curvo: *raises eyebrow, as he was just about to ask the same himself*
Well, I am Curufinwë Atarinkë, the fifth child of Fëanáro and Nerdanel. My six siblings are Maitimo, Makalaurë, Nessanië, Carnistir and Ambarussa, twins with the same mother-name.

Curufin: *glancing over at the pair of pale-haired elves* Is that Nessanië? Let me guess. Previously followed Oromë, was given a giant hound by him, and takes you hunting. The pair of you are close, unlikely as it may seem, given your differences.
*in response to the question on Curvo's face* My family situation is the same as yours. Only I don't have a sister. I have him instead. *nods in Celegorm's direction* Tyelkormo Turcafinwë.

Curvo: *looks between Nethien and Celegorm, very amused*
I see... Alternate universe?

Curufin: *nods* Alternate universe.

*they look at each other for a moment again*

Curufin: ...
Curvo: ...

Curufin: I'm definitely calling you Little Curvo.

*Curvo looks resigned, unable to argue with his slightly older self as he would have done the exact same thing*
 
(Very elaborate conversation for the Curvos! I love how serious they are and totally accepting of the concepts of flower power flight and alternate realities. 🤣)

*believes his sister, but is still bewildered at this unexpected situation*
Well then how do you explain seeing another me staring back, what looks to be almost an elleth Tyelko, and a second Curvo??

*notices Curvo has snuck his way behind the group and is deep in conversation with his double*

*Finno, seeing this is going nowhere and knowing Nessa will likely not back down, decides to run in-between the two of them, holding his hands out to the sides to create distance*

Okay, okay, break it up before you start fighting like dogs! Nessa, we need to find out more information about Maitimo’s whereabouts, and insulting… *initially at a loss for words on what to call the strangely familiar strangers* …ourselves won’t help.

*he turns his head to Írissë, with an almost wounded questioning look on his face* Íri, what are you doing here? Why did you never come home?

(It's not like they haven't already been theorising [a.k.a. daydreaming] about the possibilities of such things in their own time. 😂)
