Oh yes, if the Last Alliance had the advantage of logistic, then this meant Sauron might be force to launch offense in the first places. And if the stretagic initiative was in the Last Alliance's hands, thye wouldn't engage Sauron at a battlefield close enough to utilize his frotification, making Bara-dur kept away from all kinds of damage in other words....No matter how strong Barad-dur may have been, he simply had to break the siege. Or hope that his enemies run out of food first, but considering the implied logistical capabilities of Elves and Numenoreans (murvivor and similar), that was highly unlikely...
