I found some of the Silmarillion characters MBTI

Pretty much like his attachment issues to Finwë and his "I have to be perfect in everything so my father will love me the most." mindset.
That's a good point!

Again, that's what makes me think he's feelings-driven. He feels he needs his father's approval and love. Honestly, that's mainly what his sons followed him for.
Hmm, maybe. There is kind of a fine line between the Fi and Ti cognitive functions. They're both based on judgments based on internal values, but Fi is internal feelings and Ti is internal logic.

However, I definitely don't think he actually values the feelings of others very highly like an Fe type would. Maedhros is a very strong example of an Fe type and I think the way he handles emotions is very different from the way Fëanor does.

He thinks he has to be perfect, like it's a requirement for him to be loved and also keep his position as the crown prince.
I just feel like most of the times his actions are not very logical or well-thought out at all. Hence, that's why I feel (pun intended!) that he goes by his feelings. Remember he had intuition, a feeling that Morgoth was evil, and he didn't trust him. And we get one of the best lines from it!

Let me give you a more concrete example of how Ti works, hopefully it will help what I'm trying to say make more sense:

Let's say a Ti type like INTP or ENTP is sitting at a stoplight, and the light is red, but no one is around. A Ti type would be more likely to say, "There's nobody around, so it makes logical sense to me that I can just go even though the light is red and it's against the rules."

Ti types, especially ones who also have intuition, tend to trust their own gut and their own sense of logic. It doesn't have to actually be logical by the world's standards. And btw this all comes from cognitive functions theory, which is sort of a more elaborate and nuanced version of MBTI, and I like the system quite a lot.

Also I'm curious @Aredhel Ar-Feiniel if you agree with what I'm saying, being an INTP?

What are your MBTIs btw? I tried looking for them on here, but it's hard to find sometimes. Lol!
I'm INFJ!

Surprising! I actually thought you'd be an E. Maybe cause we go crazy through our messages. Lol!
I can be very social with those I am close with, but when it comes to being around tons of people, I’m definitely introverted. I can only handle so much before I need to withdraw and recharge in a quiet environment.

Okay, that makes a lot more sense now! I can understand that.

I would do that even if there were people there. Honestly, it's a miracle I'm still alive (and all the efforts my mom puts in keeping me from going under the buses.)
Jokes aside,yes.
For example, when solving a math problem, I prefer to first understand it by my own before I go and ask a teacher.
And I also try to come up with my own logic(often a bit different from the ones my teacher teaches) in solving them. It may take longer and be harder, but I won't feel like I have done anything if I don't do it this way.

Yay! I'm always happy when my guesses about someone's MBTI turn out right!

As an INFJ, I have Ti too but it's not as strong as Fe. So I can definitely relate to preferring to try out logical problems on my own rather than following the established process. Whereas a Te type prefers to follow the rules, laws, scientific principles or established procedures.

Turns out I (Glorfindel) am ENFJ! Well, that's definitely reasonable.
Same as Maedhros! No wonder Glorfindel is one of my favorite Elves!
