hey

You guys know at the end of the counsil of Elrond, Legolas walks down the stairs, and the scene ends. Does anyone know the point of that???

I can't remember that part off the top of my head. . .I remember that scene ending with them all standing in place. . .I need to rewatch that if I'm forgetting already. . .

I don't know. It may have just been showing that people were leaving or giving him more air time to get a fan following. . .

Was this original or EE?

It was on the EE- the second disk started with that scene. I didn't see any point in it either, maybe it was just to show the 'atmosphere' of Rivendell.

The scene which you refer to is the beginning of Gilraens memorial and if I'm correct in my assumption, I believe that the reason Legolas is shown coming down the steps is just to show that the fellowship is just about to leave and that while everyone is getting ready Aragorn is saying goodbye to his mother.

So Legolas is just there to set up the athmosphere.
