There's tons of artwork out there but I figured maybe we could use this thread to share some of our favorites that we've come across by other artists. If you post any, try to give credit to the original artist in your post. I'll start, I found this on Reddit this morning of Turin vs Glaurung...

According to Peter Jackson, the Beatles wanted to make a Lord of the Rings movie but Tolkien told them no:

Given this factoid, I wanted to try an image that "casts" the Beatles as the four hobbits and got these results (in Microsoft Edge Image Creator):

Apparently, this AI doesn't know who the Beatles were (note: Anthony Hopkins was not one of them) or even how many there were. And what the heck is that big, pointy-eared thing in the last image? 🤨

Slightly OT, but I've seen a number Beatles/Hobbit mashups:

No idea if they're AI, though. The second one obviously isn't.

But they loved him. Especially Ringo -- I remember an interview he did in the 60s in which he begged any prospective filmmaker to cast him as Sam.

The first and third look like they could be, especially the third.

As far as I know, his only reference was to a "Beatles group" making noise in a house in the neighborhood -- which has led, over the years, to people claiming the Beatles lived next door to him. 😄

On a whim, I asked for "Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin, manga style" and got these results:

So it seems counting is a work in progress for AI art. Also, interesting ring in that first image, encircling both index and middle fingers.

Never thought much of manga. This only reinforces my distaste.
