Good one. Even although I am a die hard Tolkien fan and have been since the 60s (yes, I’m that old - ‘a bit elvish, with a hint of dwarf thrown in lol’) I think for the younger generation and those who have never had the chance to experience Tolkien’s amazing world of Arda, it’s a good enough stepping stone to flourish an interest in finding out more. Here’s to the next gen of Tolkien fans/admirers/nerds!

That's what I would hope for ... but dare we hope?
All statistics about reading, and especially reading books, have been in a steep nose-dive for decades.
Being a determined wood-pulp fan, I have no experience with Kindle and its relatives.
But I know one thing in absolute certainty:
Ain't nobody ever gonna hack my wood-pulp thingies! 😈

I was finally got around to watching this episode.
I enjoyed the fact that it stuck to one plot line. The visual effects are awesome.
I was even getting into the story of the villagers fighting off the orcs.
Then Numenor showed up. Once again I am struck with how the story doesn't make sense. All sorts of questions came to mind.
What are they doing here?
How did the Numenorians get from their ships to the middle of the Southlands?
How did they know there was a battle going on?
How did they know where the battle was?
The rushing water and exploding volcano were cool to watch, but it just seemed over the top. What was the point? Yay! We defeated the orcs and now we die a horrible death by volcanic explosion. I suppose it's too much to hope that we are done with Galadriel.
