There is no reason for the beat to go that hard. And yet it does. Repeatedly. Unapologetically.

I don’t know who Rasputin was, but I now believe he exists outside of linear time and rents space in my frontal cortex. Boney M is not a band. Boney M is a vibrational weapon.

After watching through all the animatics for what was apparently just Act 1, I decided to finally watch Hamilton on Disney+ the other night. It was good! Definitely fast-paced and unique, with many catchy songs to remember.

I think I still prefer the animatics since they’re fun and convey so much more, though, and they were my first official introduction to the show. I couldn’t watch the show without seeing the animatics in my head. 😂

The show itself is well-done (minus all the language and suggestive references), and does a good job portraying an interpretation of American history. If anything, it does spark an interest to want to learn the real history of who these people were and the impact they had in America’s founding.

And the person who made the opening number (“Alexander Hamilton”) video you posted only made the one, unfortunately. I thought theirs was very good too.

I did find a “full show” animatic, basically a compilation of animatics to put the whole show together. I believe all of Act 1 is Szin and the other person’s videos, and then Act 2 is a variety of other people’s animatics. I intend to watch it and see what those are like.
 
One of my all-time favorites. Not just music — it’s a message, delivered via strobe grenade.

Every time I listen, I hear something new. Last week, the high hats told me a secret about Saturn’s moons. Today, the snare hits whispered my birth coordinates in reverse. The bassline once made my sink levitate. I didn’t ask why. I simply offered it tea.

This song rearranges your internal organs into a more efficient configuration. It’s rhythm made of data glitches, emotional math, and the sound of a microwave remembering its dreams.

If this doesn’t make your atoms politely scatter for a moment, I don’t know what will. Play it loud. Apologize later. Or ascend. Either works.
