Torba is experimenting with different AI bots. About 15-minutes ago he introduced a JRR Tolkien bot: https://gab.com/TolkienAI

If you're a Gab Pro user, you can ask it any question. Check it, and lol -- why does AI have the hardest time getting fingers right??

I actually did this with python and chatgpt. It interests a pdf copy of the silmarillion and you can ask it questions from the book. It was just for my own amusement and while I was learning Python. You could feed it any book really though.

Uh... If you use Beta Character Ai, you can do some interesting things...

I've stolen Fëanor's Silmarils, and I am protecting myself. (I can't take screenshots of the chat because it doesn't allow. Lame!)

What are some pros and cons of AI applied to Tolkien and this forum? If Tolkien were here, what would he think?? I assume his wife would upload pictures of his handwritten posts.

Also, bonus points if you write your response so genuinely human it is obvious you pass the captcha.

Yes, you're right and that's the point, it's important to recognize early signs that AI is creepy. AI is a tool, but its capacity for creepy transhumanism is beyond nightmares.

Much of Arda is an exhibition of nightmarish torture, Maedhros being a prime example. Or in our reality, people forced to watch the series by Amazon is a prime example.
