Tolkien Moments

I've passed by the Guilderton Lighthouse before. It really stuck in my memory. These pictures aren't mine, but you can see why you might get a weird feeling if you're familiar with Tolkien's works. I kind of get an impression of the various prominent towers/spires mentioned in the Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion. Or maybe one of the Two Lamps of the Valar, or Lighthouse Sauron from the movies...
In reality, it's just an oddly shaped brick lighthouse from the 1980s.

Didn't know where to share this, but here goes.... I started a new job about a year and half ago, and my supervisor is 20 years younger than me, but he's great. Mutual respect: me for his experience at this job, and he for me for my life experience.
He knows I'm a LOTR (books) fan. The other day, he and another co-worker were cleaning out the office. Suddenly he pushes an old computer tower stand ( with 4 wheels) into my "cubby" and shouts, "Watch out for the Tower of Barud Dur!!" I laughed so loud and long that I had tears in my eyes. I found my people at a new job in my old age!!
He proceeded to tell me that his young son (around 4) loves the Batman Lego movie and that there are villians. One of the villians is the Eye of Sauron! Supervisor asks his son what he wants for Christmas, and the son said he wanted "the Eye of Sauron". LOL
I actually had to go watch this Batman Lego movie to see this. Cute and entertaining.
Just wanted to share with people who will get this expierence.

Well, I had a real Tolkien Moment yesterday.... of the wrong kind.
Needed to write a rather pointed email to one of our business partners regarding an account owing us mutually quite a pile of money.

Almost signed it "Ent". (whew...caught it)
