Who exactly was Girion aside from Lord of Dale when Smaug first came to Erebor?
I'm not looking for the EoA explination here coz that one isnt very insiteful, what was his lineage etc? Was he a decendant from a survivor of one of those on the Gladden field?
I have often wondered about this but i have neither HOME or UT so i cant read up much on him...
