Hirluin

Hirluin was lord of Pinnath Gelin during the War of the Ring, and rode to the aid of Minas Tirith.

History

All that is known about Hirluin, is that he was lord of Pinnath Gelin, and that he led three-hundred gallant green clad men to the aid of Minas Tirith. He was slain alongside Forlong, and was buried outside the gates of Minas Tirith.

Etymology

Hirluin was a Sindarin word meaning 'blue lord'.
