Lord of the Glittering Caves was a title bestowed upon Gimli, a dwarf warrior in Middle-earth, after the defeat of Sauron. After the War of the Ring, Gimli led the Durin Folks south towards Aglarond to establish a colony. At the Glittering Caves of the White Mountains, they established a Kingdom, and hence Gimli was called Lord of the Glittering Caves. [1] These Dwarves of Erebor were involved in the renovation of gates for Minas Tirith. They even forged a new gate out of mithril and steel. They restored the entire city, which was damaged by the War.
