Vairë was the spouse of Námo, also known as Mandos. Both dwelt in the Halls of Mandos, and she wove the events of the world of Arda. Her tapestries hung upon the walls of these Halls, and they expanded evermore as the Halls lengthened.
She was counted amongst the Valier, the Queens of the Valar, though she was not of the Aratar.
After the passing of Finwe, his wife Míriel was re-embodied and dwelt in the House of Vairë, where she was given the task to record all the deeds of the House of Finwë.
