While watching the LOTR didn't you wish you could have seen a particular scene? I know I did. If you could have added a scene to the LOTR would you? What scene would you have added, or would you take out a scene?

I would like to have seen it implied that from the time Biblo left to the time Frodo had to leave the Shire that years had passed not days.

I would have like seen the part when Gandalf was explaining the Ring to Frodo.
How it abandoned at will and when it's Maker called it was 'found.' How he explained that the Ring had a will of its own, and its one goal was to make it back to its Maker.

TAKE OUT A SCENE!
from RotK, cut out some of the scenes after Aragorn is king and the bow to hobbits! It just deags on and on.....and i had a sore ass by that time too:(

I would have cut enough out of the Helm's Deep battle in TTT to insert the final scenes pertaining to Saruman and Wormtongue (I think it was supposed to be seven minutes). And I would have cut out the silliness of Frodo offering up the ring to the Nazgul in ROTK (of course that would have meant a major reworking of the whole Faramir situation, but what the hey...) Otherwise I'm happy overall with PJ's version.

There are many little things I somewhat wish could be taken out of the movies, and many things I would have liked to see in the movies. But there is only one thing that I really wish wouldn't have happened, one thing that changed a lot of things for me by being in the movie, and that is Frodo telling Sam to go home. I am OK with everything else in all of the movies, and can enjoy every moment, and love everything else about the movies. Some of the changes I had to learn to deal with, and did. But I still cannot listen to Frodo telling Sam to go home. Besides that, they are my favorite movies ever, the best films ever made, and the only movie that I will go to see more than once in theaters.
I'm sorry. I'm just annoyed with that, because today I had everyone telling me that Frodo was a jerk again, and it made me really mad and sad. I've already yelled at a lot of people for that today.

Add Houses of Healing...Faramir and Eowyn are just left hanging at the end of ROTK...

I firmly believe that that will be all worked out in the ROTK EE. :D

As for the scene-adding/subtracting, I would personally cut out the Elrond giving Aragorn Anduril as well as all of that stuff about Arwen's fate tied up in the ring. And I would have added the Scouring of the Shire. I know it's anti-climactic, but it was a very important part of the story for me.

I wish Jackson had filmed the Scouring of the Shire so that it could be added to the EE version. I can understand not putting it in the theatrical release. A number of critics and filmgoers have complained about the multiple endings as it is, and I realize in a commercial movie it just would have been too anticlimatic (as Elessar II said), but it really is an important part of the whole story.

I'd do both. I don't know which ones right now, I'd have to think about it and my brain's asleep.

The SotS 'foreboding' wasn't worked into FotR or TTT and so would have been drastically out of place in RotK. To have it would increase the length of two, if not three, of the movies. I am a firm believer in the fact that a SotS would have put LotR down the drain.

And are you saying that you would rather Aragorn never get his sword? Or that he should get it elsewhere, or from someone else? Elrond coming to see him was wonderfully done, if we could just leave out that Arwen line...

Yes and there is some sort of explanation in FOTR why we dont see the SotS.Actually we see it in the mirror of Galadriel and she said that this would happen if Frodo fails and he didnt so why should we see it,so from that point the SotS is totally unnessesary

Did she say that?
Or did she just say the mirror showed things that might or might not happen?
The fact, that SoftS was shown in the Mirror, knocks out the reason that "it hadn't been mentioned so it couldn't be shown",
but I agree for other reasons, it couldn't be shown!

She did say that.Just after Frodo fell down she said that she knows what he have saw and that is what will happen if he fells(see the movie),so he have an explanation about SotS

Lose the whole 'Ring Destruction' sequence, and go for a "Sauron Wins" ending. Much better!:D

If it wasn't for those meddling hobbits... *grumbles*

Both.
I would cut out Arwen in TTT, cause I just didn't like all that falling-from-the-cliff stuff. The scene when Frodo tells Sam to go home is pretty stupid, but I can live with it. I love Faramir and I wouldn't cut him out, but why he's a jerk in the movie???
And what the hell is that talking about Arwen's life connected with the ring??

I would put the chapter about Saruman's voice (why no Saruman in RotK?) and the scene when Grima throws palantir and misses the mark :D .

Yeah, I know I wanted to see the SotS. When I went to see the movie, I was looking for that scene, and it wasn't there :( .

Granted, in FOTR we see in the mirror of Galadriel why SotS wouldn't be neccessary if Frodo didn't fail, and we know that he didn't, but it must have had some importance, it's in the book, so why not put it in the movie, at least the EE?

I would have loved to have seen the encounter with Tom Bombadil in FOTR. I know it's not pertinent to the story, but I love it, in and of its own. I wish Faramir had been true to his book version.

I agree whole heartedly with you.

I would add Tom Bombadil. He is funny and he's interesting and he's important.
I agree that we should remove Arwen from the Two Towers.
And I'll choose more beautiful Galadriel. I think that we can choose more beautiful Galadriel by removing Arwen because PJ made Elrond's daughter very important unnaturally.
