I just want to be clear that I wasn't saying that Beleg could beat up Celeborn on any, and every, day of the week . . .

. . . and twice on Oranor!

I don't quite understand what you mean. But beleg is more adept at shooting arrows than using swords. If beleg can defeat celeborn in swordfight, how did celeborn survive the war of wrath? How did he actively fight in that war for 43 years? I quite doubt that the beleg could have survived that war.

I meant I wasn't saying that Beleg could defeat Celeborn. Wasn't

But that said. . .

In any case, I note again that Beleg taught Túrin swordplay. And see below.

I don't see what one thing (necessarily) has to do with another.

I quite doubt that the beleg could have survived that war.

Why? 'Cause he was arguably awesome?

"Moreover Beleg the Archer was great among the people of Doriath; he was strong, and enduring, and far-sighted in mind as well as eye, and at need he was valiant in battle, relying not only upon the swift arrows of his long bow, but also upon his great sword Anglachel."
