I found some of the Silmarillion characters MBTI

I mean I didn't like that he committed genocide but...well...he IS the spirit of fire! You can't not take interest in him.
Besides, liking a character doesn't mean you agree with everything they did. I tend to take more of an interest in characters who do bad stuff, create conflict and move the story along rather than characters who do the right thing all the time.

Riiight? My friend who is reading the Sil was like "Fëanor is my favorite character cause he is a total badboy, 'Let's leave literal heaven to fight the Devil'". I mean, not wrong! 😂

I beg your pardon?! I am nothing like him.
ENTJs are born leaders. As in they do care for what become of their subjects and are not as emotional as Fëanor.
He might have been skilled with words but he started to lose more and more of his supporters eventually because of his poor decisions. ENTJs wouldn't let things to get that far.

Yeah no, I don't think Fëanor is ENFJ. That's the type I think Maedhros has. Diplomatic, thinks carefully before making a decision, has accurate intuitions about the feelings of others-- that is definitely not Fëanor lol!

I say Fëanor is ENTP because he's full of creative ideas, and is guided by his own internal sense of logic rather than logical principles of others. I do think he believes he's acting rationally, but it's his own internal Fëanor Logic™️ that he's following. Whereas an ENTJ would place a lot of value on things like laws, which are external principles of logic. I think Manwë is a good example of an ENTJ.

Fëanor could possibly be ENFP, on the other hand. That would mean he's guided by internal feelings rather than internal logic. I could see that as well. But like I said, I think his own internal logic makes perfect sense to him and he thinks he's being logical. He's emotional, yes, but the classification of F or T depends on your decision making process, and I do think Fëanor makes decisions based on his own messed-up logic.

It's what people decide that build who they are. Totally different outcomes from the same kind of people.
This is true- you could have the same MBTI as another individual, but totally different values, making you a completely different person.

If any of us look up lists of famous people with our personality types, you'll see that there are some people you like and relate to, and others... not so much. We aren't defined as people by MBTI!

Fair, but I interpreted it that his actions came as a result of grief from losing Finwë.
I personally think Fëanor thinks that the only "logical" thing to do following Finwë's death is to avenge him.

That is quite the facts and truth!

Interesting, that is indeed rather plausible. Well, my opinion may have or not have been tainted by fanfiction, soooooo. 😅

Pretty much like his attachment issues to Finwë and his "I have to be perfect in everything so my father will love me the most." mindset.
Again, that's what makes me think he's feelings-driven. He feels he needs his father's approval and love. Honestly, that's mainly what his sons followed him for.
