Hair Dye, Cloning and General Epic Chaoticness

Welcome to the Chaotic RP of TTF! This is a fun, spontaneous, lighthearted, and most importantly, chaotic RP which is available to anyone who wishes to join. While our primary goal is to have fun, we have a few rules in order to keep some method to the madness.
  • Firstly, each character belongs to their respective TTF user. In other words, you can't write for a character if someone else has claimed that character. If you're new to the thread, please ask the group which characters are available before you claim one.
  • Even though this thread is chaotic and spontaneous, we do have a storyline going. If you're new to the thread, please read the most recent few pages, or more, so you're caught up on what's going on.
  • Make sure to interact with other people's characters. Don't just go off and write your own thing without interacting with anybody.
  • Don't completely ignore or change the storyline.
  • At the same time, please be flexible if someone introduces a new turn of the plot. This is not a carefully planned RP, and it needs to have flexibility for any chaotic new thing someone comes up with (within reason-- it does need to connect to the main story at least loosely).
  • If you are writing for multiple characters, use a script format to indicate which character is speaking. Use asterisks* to denote action. For example:
    • Maitimo: *tries to shake Celeraccoon off his arm* STOP BITING ME, TYELKO!
  • Try to keep spam to a minimum. I would define "spamming" in this thread as writing more than a page over the course of a few hours. (This can be a tough one to follow, I know.) But spamming makes it hard for other people to keep up.
  • At the same time, if you're going to be absent for an extended period of time, we recommend writing your character out temporarily (such as having them disappear or go somewhere) so other people can continue while you're gone.
That's all I can think of for now. If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to ask!

*Curufin is quite pleased at this shared project; his eyes have gone all shiny*

*he comes back with a wheelbarrow, upon which a few large wooden crates are stacked*
We need a good vantage point inside our fortress. Then we can properly see our doom approaching, and drop more water balloons upon it if it gets too close. ☺️

We can stack these on top of each other inside our sandbag wall, to make a sort of tower. Though someone will have to help me carry them.

*jumps up* Here, I’ll help you! It will keep me away from Fëanor’s intense glare while he fixes my trebuchet…
Oh good.
*snickers under breath at his mumbled statement*

*they stack the crates in a sort of narrow pyramid shape, wider at the base, so it is more stable and can easily be climbed*
*Curufin doesn't notice Fingon's bewildering/unnerving aura while they are working, but as the tower nears completion, he slowly starts to sense it again*
*subconsciously he puts more and more distance between himself and Fingon*
*when the tower is complete, Fingon is standing at its base, and Curufin is perched right at the top*

...
*peers down from the top crate*
...Thank you for the help, Findekáno.

*Laurinalótë, observing, comments helpfully here and there.*
*discovers he probably should have done it in a different direction, as the balloon slams Fëanor in the back and drenches him*
It's always Fëanor, isn't it?

Fëanor: *eyes narrow in suspicion, but he can't resist helping diagnose a mechanical problem, and he comes over to investigate* Aha, you've got the entire lever system rigged backwards.
Odd how you are always more cooperative after being hit in the head.

*Snickering, continues with his mission of making tiny raccoon soldiers*
That's a lot of Ivan's.

*Aulë is overseeing the project.*

And water balloons are good for evading doom, how? *Pauses.* Ah, no matter. I'm sure that's not too important...

Very well done, if I do say so myself.

*Yavanna looks amused at the ongoing project.*

While you all are doing this, I will set enchantments around the fortress. *Vines begin growing around the edges of the fortress and begin taking swipes at anyone who gets too close.*

*Maitimo continues to haul the heavy sandbags and stack them up to make the wall*

I'll stay outside with my soldiers.
*Hums, happy with the dozen raccoons he's made already.*
Say, Tyelko, I love the look of your little figures, but can they actually... do anything?

Oh, sweet! Instead of the Girdle of Melian, we've got the Girdle of Laurinalotë!

*matter-of-factly*
Our doom could take any shape. If it is a Balrog... perhaps water balloons would extinguish them a bit. And I don't think they're fans of lemon juice either...

Nobody's a fan of lemon juice. Trust me, I know.

*Maitimo goes blank and flashes back to when Morgoth and Sauron would squirt lemon juice in his eyes*

*Looks up and the points at the soldiers*
These? These are just because I was bored. My army is on their way here.
*Suddenly, hundreds of raccoon commandos rush inside, standing in formation around Tyelko. Tyelko giggles and hugs one close and they start swarming around him, looking for cuddles*

Laurinalótë: Celandine would often quote her favorite person "Whatever works, works." That got him far in life...

What's their main objective? Kill enemies with cuteness?

OH. Wow. Okay, then!

...
I mean, I like drinking it by itself. Perhaps another reason I'm a bit of a sourpuss sometimes.
Though I suppose it's less entertaining if I'm pressing the juice out, as I inevitably have a cut or two on my hands...
I don't mind lemon juice in its proper context-- lemonades, baking and so forth-- but when squirted upon a vulnerable individual with a lot of open wounds? No thanks.

Tyelko, raising an eyebrow: do you really want them demonstrate their abilities on you? They'll pluck, wash and then eat you. I don't want to see that happen.
Yavanna: My vines won't allow that. *In response, the vines raise their heads and tilt menacingly towards the raccoons.*

Laurinalótë: I should really appreciate my lady more.

Yavanna: Yes. Yes you should.

They are most effective against Orcs, some of them die from the plucking and washing alone.
Aulë: That's what I'm talking about. *Hefts his infamous hammer and braces it aloft.*

*Vines begin growing around the edges of the fortress and begin taking swipes at anyone who gets too close.*
*watches as the vines start crawling their way up the pyramid* *one of them swats his hand when he moves to touch them, to which he jerks back* Thanks for strengthening our fort, Yavanna!

Say Curvo, since we finished this pyramid, what did you have in mind to build next?
