Hair Dye, Cloning and General Epic Chaoticness

Welcome to the Chaotic RP of TTF! This is a fun, spontaneous, lighthearted, and most importantly, chaotic RP which is available to anyone who wishes to join. While our primary goal is to have fun, we have a few rules in order to keep some method to the madness.
  • Firstly, each character belongs to their respective TTF user. In other words, you can't write for a character if someone else has claimed that character. If you're new to the thread, please ask the group which characters are available before you claim one.
  • Even though this thread is chaotic and spontaneous, we do have a storyline going. If you're new to the thread, please read the most recent few pages, or more, so you're caught up on what's going on.
  • Make sure to interact with other people's characters. Don't just go off and write your own thing without interacting with anybody.
  • Don't completely ignore or change the storyline.
  • At the same time, please be flexible if someone introduces a new turn of the plot. This is not a carefully planned RP, and it needs to have flexibility for any chaotic new thing someone comes up with (within reason-- it does need to connect to the main story at least loosely).
  • If you are writing for multiple characters, use a script format to indicate which character is speaking. Use asterisks* to denote action. For example:
    • Maitimo: *tries to shake Celeraccoon off his arm* STOP BITING ME, TYELKO!
  • Try to keep spam to a minimum. I would define "spamming" in this thread as writing more than a page over the course of a few hours. (This can be a tough one to follow, I know.) But spamming makes it hard for other people to keep up.
  • At the same time, if you're going to be absent for an extended period of time, we recommend writing your character out temporarily (such as having them disappear or go somewhere) so other people can continue while you're gone.
That's all I can think of for now. If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to ask!

*innocently* Ah, well, the standard fare for Denny’s: pancakes, toast, coffee, soup, similar foods of the like. Great food, great food, five stars if I do say so myself! There would have been plenty to spare, if all the extra food hadn’t disappeared suddenly! It’s like it got up and danced away! Mr. Gothmore wasn’t too pleased when I told him about it.
*Licks the foam off his mouth*
Siren Girl: Rabies?
Celeraccoon:... what-- no! Just hungry.
*Laurinalótë studies the other occupants in the room from her window vantage point while she waits expectantly for the foretold raccoon to consume the rest of the dissolved concoctions.
*Runs into the room with the, smelling the pie*
IS THERE PIE AROUND HERE?
*Follows the scent back to Sauron*
So it's you!
*Jumps on him and takes his collar in his paws*
Tell me where the pie is ASAP!
*Sauron starts screaming before he pauses*
Wait, what is ASAP?
*Celeraccoon pauses*
Uh...so it's the acronym for As Soon As Possible?

Ok! *He goes to find the ingredients and brings in flour and sugar. He is returning with the eggs when he trips. The eggs fly in the air and land on Amras.*
*Amrod calmly approaches his twin and, kneeling, uses his own hands to wipe the dripping egg yolk from his brother’s face, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth.* I think your egg juggling routine might need a bit of work, Telvo!

*He gives him a hand towel to dry off and helps him stand up.* So I was wondering, chocolate or vanilla?

In Denny’s…

*Thuringwethil feels the paws of a small, furry creature scurrying over her.* What is that?! It smells like a rat foodie! *she hears Mairon’s screams* And it’s attacking the Lieutenant!

*Scrambling to try and upright herself, she reaches for what feels like the nearest table ledge. When she pulls herself up, however, the table tips under her weight and a pitcher of water falls on her head.* OW!!

… Wait a second… *She blinks and wipes her face and ears, dripping with water.* I can see again!!!

*Scanning around, she sees a raccoon collaring Mairon for pie beside her, to which she snickers at. It was just a trash panda! Sniffing the air though, she turns and finds the prisoners have escaped and are struggling at the other end of the diner to leave. What’s more, there more Elves helping them!* HEY!! You aren’t allowed to leave!

*Seeing a giant bat lady flying towards them, Fingon jumps forward in defense with his bow.*

*Thuringwethil halts suddenly.* Wait— Don’t I know you?

Fingon: *confused* Um, no.

Thuringwethil: Yeah, I’m pretty sure I bit you once. I never forget a face. But where…?

Fingon: *still holding up his guard* I’ve never seen you before, so I don’t know how. But knowing Maitimo’s descriptions of what you did to him, I have a serious bone to pick with you, lady.

Thuringwethil: *recognition flashes on her face* OH! I remember now!

*In a flash she flies forward and seizes him, knocking the bow from his hands and throwing him to the ground before her. She lands on top of his back, pinning him there.* You were the Elf I found laying unconscious up on the mountain years ago! Your blood was quite tasty. I should have kept you, seeing as how you later deprived me of my favorite pastime with Russamól.

*Narrowing her eyes, Thuringwethil leans down over a struggling Fingon with a threatening flash of her fangs.*

*Curufin and Tancaquárë have managed to lead Fëanor, Maedhros and Aranya to the storage room they entered through. They all step down into the tunnel, and walk until they turn a corner, and the faint light from the room is no longer visible.*

*Curufin takes out his jar of dimly glowing purple crystals, so they aren't standing in complete darkness*
I think we may safely rest here for a moment. The way out is rather watery. And though Ulmo will give us a ...hand?? I suppose? I would like to know what state you are all in before we proceed.

Tancaquárë: *deadpan, translating, to Maedhros and Aranya* Are you alright?

*Celeraccoon looks around the room and notices Thuringwethil trying to bite Finno*
Sorry Mr. Sour. I have business to attend to at the moment, but I'll make sure to open up time and come to kick your butt.
*Shoves him hardly and he hits the floor, dazed.*
*Runs towards Thuringwethil and ninja kicks her in the stomach, making her fall on the ground*
If you don't want rabies, I suggest you don't try anything stupid.

Ingwë and Ilwen charge into the fray towards Fingon, knocking dizzy orcs aside and batting over tables.
They've never seen Celeraccoon or Thuringwethil before, and, truth be told, they're not yet 100% clear on the Junior Noldor yearbook, either.

Ingwë: *hauling up Fingon by the hand* That's it, sir! Stout grip, stout grip, stand firm. There you go, all's well. *slaps him on the shoulder*
Ilwen: *beaming* Who might you be, young elf? And, er, why are you covered in so many strange animals?
Ingwë: *aside* I think he might be Radagast.
Ilwen: *putting glasses on* Are you sure? He's quite handsome.
Ingwë: *trying to make Fingon feel better* Sometimes it's dog food in the pockets, you know. Go for a walk, take some treaties, forget to take 'em out again. Classic! One of my old tweed coats - can't put it on without getting jumped by five Great Eagles.
Ilwen: *pointing at the struggling vampire and raccoon* Are these two dangerous?

Meanwhile, Handmaiden Balrog tears kitchen appliances open and knocks through walls, searching hungrily for Morgoth.
Handmaide Balrog: Melk-man! Melk-man! Where are you? It's time you and I had one of those 'And He Came' kind of chats, buddy!

Ok! *He goes to find the ingredients and brings in flour and sugar. He is returning with the eggs when he trips. The eggs fly in the air and land on Amras.*
Finwe: You okay, Amras?
*He gives him a hand towel to dry off and helps him stand up.* So I was wondering, chocolate or vanilla?
Finwe: *mixes the flour and sugar together for the cake* I like vanilla best, but I don't mind which. What do you think?

Tancaquárë: *deadpan, translating, to Maedhros and Aranya* Are you alright?
Maitimo: *tearing up, understanding this is Curvo Affection™️ even without translation help* Thank you for your concern, bro!

Fëanor: I knew it would be my Mini-Me to save us, if I didn't do it myself! *pats Curvo on the head* I was just, uh, waiting for a good time to spring into action, and I figured I'd let you have your moment. (This is the closest Fëanor can get to saying thank you.)

Aranya: *sighs, seeing as how they're both too disoriented or proud or both to explain themselves. She says, similarly deadpan, to Tanca:* They're both concussed. And we all feel nauseated from those awful smells. And, *lowers her voice* don't tell the guys I said this, but I can get around better than they can.

*They hear noises, and Maitimo's glance darts over to where they just came from.*

Maitimo: That's Finno's voice. It sounds like he's in trouble! We have to help him! *he stumbles towards the exit*

Aranya: *grabs his arm* Um, you're not going anywhere! You're in no state to help him. Besides-- *she listens to shouting from friendly Elven voices, hissing from a raccoon, and Thuringwethil screeching* I think it's under control back there.

( 😂 )

*Curufin is glad his blush is not visible in the dim light*
*coughs somewhat realistically* Indeed, the air is terrible in here.

And, *lowers her voice* don't tell the guys I said this, but I can get around better than they can.
Tancaquárë: *raises her eyebrows, looking at Maedhros and Fëanor* No, really...? I hadn't noticed. *her lip twitches*

Curufin: If my senses did not deceive me, some of the reinforcements arriving to help us had a certain... Vanyarin magic about them. By all accounts and by this I mean the tapestries in the halls of Mandos, the damage those elves can cause in combat is nothing to sniff at. Not that I would recommend sniffing in this putrid atmosphere, anyway. *the complete lameness of his joke causes him to lose his train of thought for a moment, and he stares blankly at the floor*

Tancaquárë: *coming to his rescue once again* Alright then, let's make our way down to the lake. Slowly. Being forcibly taken captive by the Black Foe is nothing to sniff at either. *she does not smile nor look at him, but this was most definitely intended to restore Curufin's spirits somewhat*

Curufin: *internally struggles with some unnameable emotion between 😨 and 🥺, before turning like a robot and leading the way down the tunnel*

*Once arrived at the lake shore, they all sit down and rest for a moment. Tancaquárë is not particularly tired, but she sits facing the water and focuses on it, silently conversing with Ulmo once more. Curufin is just as worn out as the others, if not more so, thanks to his previous solitary underground adventuring.*

*Eventually, five small whirlpools form in a line along the edge of the lake.*

Tancaquárë: *gets to her feet* Ulmo's going to take us upstream, as gently as he can manage. Follow my lead.

*She steps into one of the whirlpools, which is shallow and supports her weight as she sits down cross-legged inside it. The water around the edge rises around her, enclosing her in a sort of bubble, through which her silhouette can be faintly seen. The others do the same, some more reluctantly than others.*

Curufin: *privately wonders why Ulmo couldn't have done this on the way here*

*the rushing sound of the walls of his water bubble collects itself into a voice*
Did you think to ask?

Curufin: ...
*privately shuts up*

Curufin: *has the distinct impression the water surrounding him is rolling its eyes... somehow*

*The five large bubbles are sucked under the lake surface, brought into single file, then the bubble line is sent up the underground stream passage like a train, with its passengers remaining seated upright, even as they go up the waterfall.*

*Daylight shines through the walls of their bubbles, and they slow down, having finally reached the above-ground portion of the stream. The tops of their bubbles retract, allowing them to stand up and step out onto the stream bank. Curufin and Tancaquárë give a hand to the concussed pair, as even this gentler mode of transportation was somewhat disorienting.*

Curufin: *under his breath* Dry land, sunlight... fresh air...! *sits down, then collapses onto his back, his limbs refusing to support him any longer*
*he closes his eyes, quite hoping his 'looking for missing brothers' adventure has now drawn to a close*

Tancaquárë: *looking around* Ah good, they're still here. *gestures towards Finwë, Amrod and Amras, who are in an outdoor cooking area near the buildings* How are you all doing? Shall we go and join them?

*Runs towards Thuringwethil and ninja kicks her in the stomach, making her fall on the ground*
If you don't want rabies, I suggest you don't try anything stupid.
*Thuringwethil crashes into a table and falls to the ground, gasping and coughing from the sound kick. She is infuriated.*

You—*cough* you vermin!! I invented rabies long before you were made. How dare you come between me and my prey!

Ingwë and Ilwen charge into the fray towards Fingon, knocking dizzy orcs aside and batting over tables.
They've never seen Celeraccoon or Thuringwethil before, and, truth be told, they're not yet 100% clear on the Junior Noldor yearbook, either.

Ilwen: *pointing at the struggling vampire and raccoon* Are these two dangerous?
*Fingon, still a little stunned at what just happened, willingly accepts the aid.* Thank you, friends.

*The couple’s comments back and forth initially confuse him, as he is distracted for a moment watching Tyelko challenging the giant bat lady. He absent-mindedly rubs his hand on his neck at how close he nearly came to being bitten (again).*

*turning back to them* I am Findekáno Nolofinwion, and them, dangerous? The raccoon is my cousin Tyelkormo, and the vampire bat was one of Maitimo’s tormentors when he was held captive in Angband, so yes, they are. I don’t think she was too happy I rescued Maitimo back then. *Keeping his attention on Tyelko and the bat, he steps over and picks up his bow laying on the ground where she had flung it.*

*He casts a quick glance around.* It looks like Curvo managed to get Maitimo and the others to safety. Good. The more we can buy time for them, the better.

*He casts a quick glance around.* It looks like Curvo managed to get Maitimo and the others to safety. Good. The more we can buy time for them, the better.
M: I agree. *He levels his sword at Thuringwethil, wondering if Tyelko needed help. He seemed to be managing quite well, despite his racoon form. Or . . . maybe it was because of his racoon form. Maglor had a hard time deciding.*

Handmaiden Balrog keeps setting off sprinklers, then vaporizing the water, filling her surroundings with superheated steam, impeding her own search and messing up everyone's hair.
Handmaiden Balrog: *to Maglor* Excuse me! You there, Indecisive Sword Elf? Could you help me find Morgoth, please? It's vital he doesn't get away!
*meanwhile*
Ingwë: Well met, noble Findekáno! I regret, I never had occasion to learn the Eastern tongues - what is the meaning of this high-spoken name?
Ilwen: (jabbing words into Teleriphone Translate) It says...hair...commander. *frowns* Must be stuck on Mongolian again.
Ingwë: Air Commander! *saluting respectfuly* I say, isn't that a stroke of luck! We'll all be surrounded soon enough, but if we commandeer a dragon or two, the kite-pranger here can still run us out.
Handmaiden Balrog: Bravo! Just like when we freed those pilots and broke the Trade Federation blockade! Right, ma'am?
Ilwen: I don't remember that.
Handmaiden Balrog: Eh, must've been another queen. I've been handmaiden to lots of people.
Ingwë: But before there's any talk of leaving, Commander, I'm afraid we three have a debt to repay. Will you help us?
*wrestles the struggling Mairon, keeping him on the floor*
Ingwë: I'm going to need all the strong cheese and all the pizza dough you and Ilwen can find in that kitchen.

Handmaiden Balrog: *to Maglor* Excuse me! You there, Indecisive Sword Elf? Could you help me find Morgoth, please? It's vital he doesn't get away!
M: Umm . . . *He was quite shocked to realize there was a Balrog on their side, and by her politeness. He wasn't complaining though.*

M: Sure, though I didn't see where he went. I'm Maglor, by the way.

Finwe: *mixes the flour and sugar together for the cake* I like vanilla best, but I don't mind which. What do you think?
Amrod: Vanilla’s good. It can match the white streaks in Nelyo’s hair. I’ll go select the cake pan and—

*As he turns around, he sees the newly arrived group down by the trees and excitedly takes off running through the field to them.* NELYOOOOO!!!!!!!

*He crashes into Maitimo at full speed, squeezing him tight in a hug and not letting go.* I’m so glad you’re safe, big brother.

*Fingon chuckles at their comments.* While the first is correct in Quenya, I will accept the second as well. I am a Hair and Air Commander!

I will most definitely help you! But first, I have my own gift for our friend Thauron here.

*Pulls out his hot glue gun and bags of extra jingly pom-poms.* I’ve been looking forward to this moment for quite some time.

*As he starts gleefully gluing them on Mairon, he calls over to Tyelko.* How you doing over there, cuz?

*Aranya watches the water scenery with fascination as the bubbles pass through the water. Fëanor watches it with interest as well, but the motion makes him feel queasy. He's determined to keep watching, though. Maitimo, though, knows better, and he keeps his eyes closed. They shakily step out upon landing.*

Tancaquárë: *looking around* Ah good, they're still here. *gestures towards Finwë, Amrod and Amras, who are in an outdoor cooking area near the buildings* How are you all doing? Shall we go and join them?
Maitimo: I'd like to see them at least briefly.

Fëanor: As would I.

Aranya: Alright, but not for long. I have work to do on you two!

Maitimo: Are you sure you're up for that? I know you weren't feeling great from all those smells either.

Aranya: Well there isn't any other healer around, is there? Besides, I've worked feeling worse before.

Maitimo: *is slightly terrified*

*They, along with Curvo and Tanca, slowly make their way towards the cooking group, where Aranya figures she'll make some ginger tea for anyone who wants it.*

*Maitimo winces from the collision and nearly falls over, but he could never pass up the opportunity for a Tiny Twin hug, and he smiles and hugs him back.*

Aranya: PITYO. BE CAREFUL WITH HIM. 😡

Maitimo: It's okay, Aranya. I'm happy to see you too, Pityo! *he sees Amras (@Ashley ) nearby* And you, get over here!

*Fëanor comes to Finwë (@Finwë ), still a little unsteady on his feet.* Boy, am I glad to see you, Atar!

(So guys, as soon as we could wrap up the current stuff, that would be great. My job will get very busy in late August or so, and I'm thinking we should do the wedding before then. Also, this will be my only post today because work is busy.)
