lord of the rings

This is not another "Why didn't they use the Eagles" thread though that topic is briefly discussed here. This is more a thread examining the seemingly constant stream of "Why didn't..." questions on sites like Reddit and Quora. The Eagle-related ones. Ones that ask why the Valar don't intercede...

I assume its folk dance. One example showed in Hitman Blood Money video game.

Alright, I'll go. FAVOURITES (no order) 1. Boromir's last stand and death 2. Frodo and Gandalf speaking in Moria ("What to do with the time that is given to us") 3. The Mirror of Galadriel 4. When the hobbits are back in the Shire, and they sit at the pub with that unspoken bittersweetness...

I love Glorfindel; he's one of my favorite elves. And don't get me going on PJ's decision to replace him with Arwen☹️. I don't think Tolkien ever decided either way, but I like to think that the Glorfindel who rode to Frodo's rescue was the same Elf who single-handedly rescued the refugees of...

Like i keep urging Boromir to win everytime i see the fight scene, because i hate seeing him lose in Fellowship of the Ring.

There was a stage musical of the Lord of the Rings in the mid 2000s. I haven't seen it, and no official full-length recordings exist of it. However, the entire soundtrack is available online, and I have listened to the songs and looked up the lyrics. Some low-quality bootleg recordings of parts...

I recently saw this short video by Nerdforge, where a lot of effort is put into rebinding an old copy of the Lord of the Rings, with pretty impressive results. Even going the extra mile to add real silver decorations on it. There is also a longer, more detailed video on the Nerdforge YouTube...

hi guys do you know what happened after LOTR ? What happened to the characters in the story?

I just thought it would be fun to try to learn advanced math with Lord of the Rings. So i have a math question for you. Question 1: In a scene of LOTR, Gandalf meets King Theoden in his cursed state. He is 10meters away from him Theoden. But as Gandalf is 10 meters away then Wormtongue...

We all know they are masterpieces now, interms of fantasy stories. But i kinda like to know what the public reception of the books were when it was new. I heard on wikipedia that it gained a mixed reaction actually before it became a sensation world wide. This isnt the first time. In LOTR...

https://www.polygon.com/lord-of-the-rings/22451202/lord-of-the-rings-movie-trivia I found this list of trivia by accident while looking for info on Christopher Lee. Some rather interesting stuff in there.

One thing is for sure was. I did NOT want to be caught by this guy O_O. I had this on PC back then, i rebought it a year ago on PC. Its not perfect game but it was fun for what it was.

How was the first two episodes? Did you like them?

Heyy guys, I just recently started playing lotro and I just kept wondering how accurate the story line is to the actual work of Tolkien. So I just wanted to be sure before taking the game's story seriously. If it helps, I started playing as a dwarf (don't know if the lore accuracy varies from...

These adorable whales

https://www.polygon.com/23723747/lord-of-the-rings-amazon-mmo-announcement The studio making it has only made one game before, New World. https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/new-world

Guess one can say both, but just curious

This arrived in the mail this weekend. Core rulebook, Shire supplement, DM screen. So the history goes something like this: (1) The One Ring RPG was written for Cubicle-7. TOR featured its own RPG system and takes place in the time of The Hobbit so that folks don't have to stress over that...

Has anyone read this work from 2004 by chance? It sounds like it might have 'features of interest' (Sherlock Holmes).
