Heyy guys, I just recently started playing lotro and I just kept wondering how accurate the story line is to the actual work of Tolkien. So I just wanted to be sure before taking the game's story seriously. If it helps, I started playing as a dwarf (don't know if the lore accuracy varies from...

Click here for the video version of this post. If anybody were to ask me what my favorite world mythology is, it would be Celtic mythology. What I find most fascinating is how much the lore has changed and been corrupted over time. When talking about Irish folklore, you’d be forgiven if your...

Hello, I am writing a review of Middle Earth: Shadow of War and I want to touch on the subject of how the game changes and omits lore to suit its gameplay and story. My issue is that while I have done a lot of research on my own I do not think I am fully equipped to understand the sheer breadth...

Hello there! I recently read a chapter from the Nature of Middle-Earth (released in February 2021) about beards. Tolkien answers a fan if he imagined certain characters as beardless or not and dives into the lore behind it. I've covered the topic in this video on my channel, if it interests you...

I've started a new series about the lore of Middle-earth and started with the Fell winter of the Third Age 2911-2912 T.A. I've done some extended research on the matter and made some inputs as can be seen in the video. I hope that this extended research can bring forth new knowledge about the...

Hey, I wrote some essays concerning Middle-Earth lore stuff. But I am no native speaker. So it would be cool for me if someone could read these texts and tell me whether they are grammatically correct or not. If you are interested, please DM me. :)

Hi! So the one thing that has been bugging me very much as of late, is the fact that the story in the movies about the ring is that Isildur got the ring from cutting it from Saurons finger and wore it until his death. Then Smegol found it and lost it to bilbo, where bilbo had it until Frodo...

Hey everyone! As someone who is new to the lord of the rings franchise, I would like to start reading the books, what book should i read first? Is it the hobbit? -Thanks in advance

How big Were the Mumakil? The movies portrayed them as massive beasts that resembled historical elephants only in shape, not in size. While Tolkien described them in letters 64 as “A large elephant of prehistoric size.” It appears the largest “prehistoric” elephant kind would have been the...
