I don't know if this is old news as I havn't been in this forum for a while, but I just read an article that says the extra 43 minutes on the dvd will contain alot of funny deleted scenes featuring merry and pippin. to this news, moon cloud sez: yay!

The greater impact Lets break it down among merry and Pippin: Pippin was obviously the factor in escaping the Uruk-Hai...meaning he basically destroyed isengard.;) Merry helped slay the witch-king...a deed that can't be matched unless someone cut the ring from saurons hand or...

No doubt Merry and Pippin are the stupidest characters in the book,but i wonder who is stupider Merry or Pippin? :p

What the HECK is everyone's problem with Merry's Broken Carrot? Everyone seems to treat it like Tolkien wrote a line saying: "No carrots are to be harmed during the making of this book into a movie." It just seems to be a bit of harmless humour like the "No-one tosses a dwarf!" line...

I was just thinking about this recently, but did you notice all the little events slipped into the film that made Merry and Pippin appear sooooo loyal to Frodo and so determined to protect him at all costs. The first event was when they were hiding under the bank out of site of the Blackrider...

Were Merry and Pippin clown or am i stupid.Yes they may be funny hobbits but i don't think that they are clown(Like in the movie)O
