Has anyone read this fiction series the Pendragon Cycle by Stephen R. Lawhead? I am considering it. Thoughts?

The proof is Rotten Tomatoes webpage. So basically. Critics hated "War of Rohirrim" movie but audiences accepted it (Now personally. I had some issues that this doesnt really feel 100% like Tolkien story, but more at best a loose story that has some elements of Tolkien stuff in it. If anything...

I've been reading The Silmarillion and am over halfway through. Many of the events in the book are so extraordinary and ethereal that it seems like producing a movie would be an extremely tough task. None the less I really want to see a movie made, it almost has to because it is the only work...

I honestly would love a spin off of the show and I think a good direction would be for them to adapt the Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War. Maybe not exactly like the games but I do love the idea of Talion being given a live action series. Granted I don't see this Celebrimbor becoming the...

Hello Tolkien Fans and Experts, I have written the first 3 episodes of a made-for-TV series set in Tolkien's Middle Earth during the War of the Ring. I am in specific need of fans with a good knowledge and love of the novels who could help me in finding places to insert/substitute...

I was watching a video of the Liverpool Comicon, and one of the questions that came up was "which piece of filming was the last one to be done with the cast?" An audience member thought that it was Gollum's reaction to finding out Frodo was planning to destroy the ring, filmed in Peter Jackson's...

This is not another "Why didn't they use the Eagles" thread though that topic is briefly discussed here. This is more a thread examining the seemingly constant stream of "Why didn't..." questions on sites like Reddit and Quora. The Eagle-related ones. Ones that ask why the Valar don't intercede...

Thats awesome. It seems he is good at playing relatable characters even if they have issues even https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Pace

I'm currently reading LotR (again :D) and The Canterbury Tales, by Chaucer. What about you guys?

There was this game

Why did they choose such an old actor for celebrimbor? Just like Galadriel, celebrimbor was born in Valinor. But why did they cast an old actor for Celebrimbor when Galadriel was so young? I would expect it appearance like Aragorn at most. I wish there was a face like celebrimbor in shadow of...

It is obvious that after the rings of power series is over, the silmarillion will be made into a movie series. Do you think the book of the silmarillion will fit into 7 movies? I think it will fit if it is like this; first movie: the creation of the ainur, the music of the eru, and the descent...

They are too bland. I've tried one or two, but I find some of the classic and newer films that AP offers are much better. Of course, people have different preferences about what is a good film but good direction, writing and acting helps. In the golden age they sometimes would have the...

Hi I am a new member. My name is Christopher. I am from Boston, MA. Not to be a downer but this upcoming show is an insult to JRR. We ALL know that he would strongly disapprove as the spirit of his writing will NOT be exorcised and the articles I've read on the series directly say that the...

According to Andreth's prophecy, Turin is kept in the halls of Mandos for 50 years. Then he fights in the battle of wrath and kills the Ancalagon. Do you think they will include this scenario in the battle of wrath in the movie The Silmarillion? In the link below it is written that since Tolkien...

I am very unhappy on how Galadriel will be portrayed in the Rings of Power, but I am not here to express just how much I hate it. I saw an interesting video, on whether or not the Amazon portrayal is actually accurate, by Tolkien's description of the Lady of Lothlorien and her early days...

Friends, before the series starts, I would like to ask a question that I am most curious about. Will the first age events and wars such as dagor bragollach, nirnaeth arnoediad, war of wrath be told in the series? Please, those who know the series well, answer.Thank you.

I'll tell you my theory of how Annatar will appear and in which episodes I think this will happen. Tell me how you imagine this will happen in the comments. From what I understand the story will go like this: Annatar is a "poor innocent old man" with crises of split personality. He falls to...

I've been around the webs and reading why people already hate this new Rings of Power series. all I can say is the haters are really out in force with these latest new reveals. One thing I noted in the various places the posters and first look articles were posted on fecebook (IMDB has some of...

I'm on the fence about buying Shadow of Mordor and War. On one hand, I've heard they are great RPGs, but on another, I've heard they really are only LOTR in name. I'm curious if anyone here has an opinion or two on how respectful they are of the source?.
