Children's version of Beren and 🧝Luthien

[Idril Celebrindal]

I made a kid's version of Beren and Luthien for my younger sister, and I thought you might find it useful if you have children or young siblings. It's basically just an abridged version of Beren and Luthien, with some of the iffy parts (such as the crows feasting on Barahir's body) removed or downplayed. I also added a few explanations, such as what the Silmarils are. I haven't edited this extensively, so there are probably a bunch of typos and miswordings in there. I got the pictures in there off the internet, they aren't by me. I'd recommend this for kids ages 6-10. Also, note that I specifically tailored this story to my little sister, keeping in mind her attention span, knowledge, and what disturbs her, so it might not work so well for other kids.

I think you rewrote/simplified this long story very well. I enjoyed reading it even though I'm no longer a kid myself (allegedly 😂).
I liked the artwork you chose and included, it really gave it the feel of a picture book that children might like to read. It also added some extra dramatic effect, especially during the battle between Finrod and Sauron.

I think you made a really good adaptation. You definitely chose good pictures for it.

A really well done adaptation! Thank you for making it. I have saved it to read to my daughter when she is older.

You did a nice job with this.
