This YouTube channel (TwoSetViolin) recently released a series of music videos of the 'boy band' B²TSM (Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Mozart). Each of these composers have a song, imitating K-pop styles of music/music video.
They have subtitles available, so you can catch all the lyrics (they use wordplay and are often quite meaningful).

Here is the playlist where you can view all of the songs: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLq-Pj3G-56pAxqRa2m1EgMLHHlXdB8TLY&si=TyRqd2up-l17dNeb
(there are six in total, some of the videos here are just trailers)

My favourite is the Bach song:

And I found the Mozart one pretty funny. 😂

There are also "orchestral" takes on Kpop songs, like this:

Of course, Kpop does use orchestral "sound" at times; IU did for her original of "Strawberry Moon:
And she had a full orchestra for her Golden Hour concert, including her spectacular performance of the song:

Oh my!!! I love Twoset Violin too, @Server Room Gremlin and @Maedhros_Nelyafinwë ! I have not seen these videos until now but so good - the whole design and message in the Bach one is on fire!!! I love them even more now.

Sorry, but I cannot stand K-pop, heavy metal, modern music / music styles. 😅 (I did not know about K-pop until last year. Music genres are just one of those things I don't mind being unknowledgable on.) Also country music... Not to say there may be some good stuff of this kind out there; it really comes back to Twoset's message. I dislike the lack of intent/meaningfulness, but really, just practically, how can one stand the sound?!

I love TwoSet Violin! I'll have to check these out when I have time later.
*Spongebob narrator voice* A year and a half later...

These are great! You can tell they actually know things about the composers (obviously, since they are classical violinists). Like, Bach does have a quote somewhere where he said the primary purpose of music is to glorify God and refresh the human soul, so they got that absolutely right. And the Mozart one was absolutely hilarious!!

Ya know, I feel like out of all the classical composers, Mozart is the one who could most easily translate to a pop style. His melodies are very catchy and memorable, and that Rondo Alla Turca fit quite well in the pop style of this video. 😂

I may have posted this earlier but it would have been about 3 years ago (and I can't find it if I did) so here it is....again(?)
(Watch for the little girl at about 2:30 😄)
As someone who loves both classical and metal, and especially the ways they intersect, I love this! I'd love to see those guys play Master of Puppets by Metallica.

This was what I liked about TwoSet Violin. :>
They are very silly, but also very knowledgeable, and at the same time they are artists and create things which are genuinely lovely to watch and listen to, due to the effort they put into it.

Here was the 2Cellos "breakout piece" back in 2012...(not Metal tho'...)

Kpop isn't really a genre, technically. It's like, well, USA has Hollywood, right? And Korea has K-pop (music) and Kdrama (cinema and TV). There are a lot of different artists, styles, etc.
