Deep\Interesting Questions

Your faith in us humans is so encouraging.

"Nor is Ent impressed when mankind remains clueless about what lies deep in his world's oceans, but spends countless billions trying to 'reach the stars.' And why? Make no mistake, it's because he wants to put "bigger clubs" in space, and on other reachable bodies in the skies."

Wow. That's pretty broad brush you're painting with. Not everyone that wants to "reach the stars" wants to do so to put a "bigger club" in space.
Governments, probably, because anymore all governments are in the business of telling their citizens/subjects what's good for them and how they are to think on whatever problems are besetting their domain.
But private citizens? Private companies? Have you asked them? If not, how do you know their reason for exploring space is militaristic? You are both generalizing and jumping to conclusions without data.
And as for saying we should explore the oceans before we explore space, you're entitled to your opnion, but it carries no moral compulsion.
The desire to explore either place is a personal preference.
And you can cerainly militarize the oceans; it's already been done.
As for the preference to explore space rather than the oceans, mankind has always envied the bird's ability to fly, to "slip the surly bonds of earth".
That desire is a thread running through every culture. I don't believe there is a similar one wherein Mankind wants to be able to swim the depths of the ocean and breathe like fish. That desire turns up occasionally in myths but not with nearly the frequency as the one to fly.

Nothing of this at once, I suppose. I simply meant a question which was deep, but not interesting.

Yes, like this one.

When was the Kola Superdeep Borehole(SG-3) dug?

Does that count as a deep question?

Here is another deep question, then:

By Durin’s beard, what is that?!

The topic of this thread makes me recall this...

How unfortunate. (Sniff..!)

I think this might be a deep question...or maybe a dumb one.....
Time- is this day actually gone once the sun goes down, or does it still exist somewhere else? Is it possible that all of our days and hours are being replayed somewhere beyond our sight? Is it possible that our memories, our emotions, and our thoughts are never truly gone, even after we die? Why does it seem that certain places (like old houses and cemeteries and such) are watching, listening? They should feel empty, shouldn't they? After all, whatever has happened there is over and gone, right?

You might be interested in J.W. Dunne’s theory of time, which Tolkien was familiar with and relied on in his two time-travel stories, The Lost Road and The Notion Club Papers, as well as in his descriptions of the flow of time in Lórien (at least in some drafts of The Lord of the Rings and related schemes) and in his explanation of the nature of existence in the post-Downfall Aman in the 1964 BBC Interview. This article by Verlyn Flieger may be good as a brief introduction into the topic.

If consciousness is shaped by memory, memory is selective and unreliable, and we constantly reinterpret our past through the lens of who we are now—at what point does “you” stop being a continuous self and become a series of revisions pretending to be a single person? And if that’s the case, who exactly is responsible for your past decisions: the current you, the version who made them, or the story you’ve agreed to believe? -

we got an "I AM Presence" fractal above our heads, from where the toroidal vortex swirls around our body and defines the Self through I AM Affirmations which separates us from the field of unity and centers us in the Presence of the I AM Being. Therefore instead of disintegrating we affirm ourselves through each choice and sequence of affirmations, especially ones starting with the phrase I AM....

the diamond that connects us to the Source - that's what I refer to as the I AM presence, the upper part of the merkaba of the invisible etheric bodies

keep it as a fanfiction answer, if you don't like it - I don't intend to sound fanatic

Time is a weird thing. We mostly experience it as some sort of flow that is rushing past us or through ourselves. The past then would be something downstream, the future something upstream. From our current understanding of physics (which is well attested) there is no stream in this sense. Time and space are closely related and relative for each observer. That might be something you have already heard before in high school physics. But what derives from it, is that you right now reading this, are in the future of one possible observer while also being in the past of some other observer. This also works for any point in time. In that sense: Yes, your past still 'exists' if you want to call it that. Just not for you or in any way you can access it, and it is not replayed. To this hypothetical observer experiencing it, it would just play this once and then be part of his past too.

Minkowski Diagrams are a nice way to visualize these things without any mathematics, if you are interested.
