I watched LOTR for sixth time and I saw something interesting. In the beginning when
Galadriel speaks about the rings and the battle between
elves,people and
Sauron,
Gil-Galad can be seen on two scenes. The first one which shows
Cirdan,Galdriel and Gil-Galad watching the rings and the second one while he is killing
orcs with his spear. These scenes are just a few part of the second.So.Gil-Galad is with black hair, but he is son of
Fingolfin and nephew of
Finarfin.It's said about Finarfin:
"...alone among the Noldorin princes he and his descendants had golden hair, derived from his mother Indis"
Why Gil-Galad is with black hair, not with golden. It was written somewhere that Finarfin was with black hair and that explains the color of his son's hair.Is it true?I'm not sure whether Gil-Galad was with black hair.
So the question is black hair or golden?
