Hair Dye, Cloning and General Epic Chaoticness

Welcome to the Chaotic RP of TTF! This is a fun, spontaneous, lighthearted, and most importantly, chaotic RP which is available to anyone who wishes to join. While our primary goal is to have fun, we have a few rules in order to keep some method to the madness.
  • Firstly, each character belongs to their respective TTF user. In other words, you can't write for a character if someone else has claimed that character. If you're new to the thread, please ask the group which characters are available before you claim one.
  • Even though this thread is chaotic and spontaneous, we do have a storyline going. If you're new to the thread, please read the most recent few pages, or more, so you're caught up on what's going on.
  • Make sure to interact with other people's characters. Don't just go off and write your own thing without interacting with anybody.
  • Don't completely ignore or change the storyline.
  • At the same time, please be flexible if someone introduces a new turn of the plot. This is not a carefully planned RP, and it needs to have flexibility for any chaotic new thing someone comes up with (within reason-- it does need to connect to the main story at least loosely).
  • If you are writing for multiple characters, use a script format to indicate which character is speaking. Use asterisks* to denote action. For example:
    • Maitimo: *tries to shake Celeraccoon off his arm* STOP BITING ME, TYELKO!
  • Try to keep spam to a minimum. I would define "spamming" in this thread as writing more than a page over the course of a few hours. (This can be a tough one to follow, I know.) But spamming makes it hard for other people to keep up.
  • At the same time, if you're going to be absent for an extended period of time, we recommend writing your character out temporarily (such as having them disappear or go somewhere) so other people can continue while you're gone.
That's all I can think of for now. If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to ask!

*tries to... reassure?? the flower*
Uh, just... pay those admirers no mind, maybe? Lock yourself in a dark room with a blazing fire and engage in your hobbies?
*realises these are very terrible conditions for a plant to be kept in, except, perhaps mushrooms, which are not exactly plants*
Ah... never mind. I hope you find your true niche in the ecosystem someday.
All the same, I thank you for the consideration.

*Ereinion giggles and holds up the lion as the gems all over it reflect Raendir’s glow and cast colorful stars of light around the room*
Fautuatar: Ho-ho-ho! Look at them!

Yavanna: You act as if for this you can take credit.

Fautuatar: I am Santa, after all.

Yavanna: You said you had not control over them.

Fautuatar: ...I'm still Santa!

Laurinalótë: A convincing argument. Truly.

Fëanor: NOW what?

*stares with fascination at the lightsaber*

Where did you get that? It is a weapon harnessing the light itself! I've never seen anything more beautiful, save for my Silmarils!

Maitimo: My friend Anakin, the "walker of the skies" as he calls himself, gave me these. They're pretty cool!

Fëanor: And why exactly is that?

Maitimo: Because Tyelko was calling me stupid and untrue names? *tries to dodge around Fëanor, swinging lightsaber* *the lightsaber is actually on low power mode but he won't tell anyone that*

Fëanor: *deep sigh* I thought you two were grown Eldar, not childish Elflings.

(I'm-- I guess, we're-- trying and failing miserably not to spam SRG. Whoops!)

I'm pretty sure this is the wrong world.

Fautuatar: Santa is 'wrong' for this world too, yet here I am doing this back from the future.

Laurinalótë: I'm pretty sure you just made a bad joke.

Yavanna: Concur do I.

*Fingon stares wide-eyed at the red blade of his lightsaber as he holds it up, grinning widely and his fangs become apparent in the crimson glow* Maitimo, these are so cool!!
Those fangs are truly just regular teeth. Your fantasia is increased by how much you do believe it.

Laurinalótë: All of this is hogwash...

*The fautarassë continue enjoying a calm environment with Ereinion. Raendir is especially fond of the child. One of the other fautarassë, Alagos, takes to the lion toy more and tries to chew it.*

*furrowing his brow, Ereinion tugs on his toy, trying to get it back from Alagos. He prepares to scream, but not wanting to scare the fautarassë off, he taps on Alagos’ nose multiple times instead, trying to make him open his mouth*

No, no, no, Alagos. Not for you! Give Roe-Galad back!!!

*This reminds Curufin of something, and he returns to his workshop.*
*He opens the jars sitting on the windowsill one at a time, checking on the slow-growing crystals within, making notes on any changes.*

*Curufin suddenly senses a disturbance in the atmosphere, and freezes. However, he cannot perceive the source of this disturbance, as it lies beyond the boundaries of their world.*
*Entirely unsettled, he reflects some light into the jar he is holding and tries to focus on the properties of this particular set of crystals.*

*Curufin's 'phone' rings*
(It has had too many modifications for that name to be entirely accurate, and it also looks like a small grey brick.)
*on the phone* Hello, Eye Doctors of Beleriand? Yes, I'd like to make an appointment for my little brother Tyelko because he is clearly BLIND. Or at least his vision is super distorted. It's very serious.
*hears Nelyo's voice, complaining about Tyelko*
*is pleased to note his new 'Tyelko-rescue' automated call redirection system is functional*
*not missing a beat, pinches his nose to disguise his voice and replies*
Tyelko? Tyelkormo Turcafinwë? His eyesight is perfect. Sharp as a hawk's. We gave him an eye test not long ago, and he managed to shoot a grape off the top of the Mindon Eldaliéva. If something has happened to his vision in the meantime, he may make another appointment himself. Good day.
*hangs up*

*Curufin decides to head back, as it appears Celegorm may have gotten himself into a slight pickle again.*
*enters the room*
Tyelko needs his vision checked!

*twirls lightsaber*
*points at the humming weapon, thinking he has found what was unsettling him*
Ah-HA! I knew I felt a disturbance in the Force earlier!

He started it by saying I can't turn into a vampire!
Fëanor: I would... happen to agree with him on that...?
*Curufin also privately agrees, since if Tyelko was turned to a vampire, it would essentially be a two-for-one deal; he'd be bitten as well in two seconds flat*
*decides to defend Tyelko anyway*
*strides up and throws his hand in between the lightsaber and Tyelko*
*it is too late for Fingon to stop his swing*
*the blade hits his hand with a zap, but only feels like an uncomfortably warm, ongoing electric shock*
*he purposely leaves his expression unfathomable for a moment, staring down at his hand, which is completely obscured by the brightness of the plasma*
...
...
*Curufin looks up slowly at Fingon, a grin on his face, as he had observed the lightsaber blades didn't look exactly like they should if they were at full power*

*Fingon freezes, staring in horror at the thought he may have just sliced off Curufin’s hand* Curvo, I’m SO sorry!! It-it was an accident, I promise! Please don’t be mad at me. I —

*confused* — Why are you smiling?? Aren’t you in pain???

*moves the lightsaber away and sees Curvo’s hands are still intact and unharmed* *relief floods his face* OH!! Good. You’re fine. (THAT WAS TOO CLOSE.) 😅

Oh, just a little. The blade was fairly hot. But working in a forge, one gets used to it.

Of course I am. Apologies for the scare. *cheeky look* Though it was hilarious.
