*winces when he says 'Amaniel' and sighs, sinking to the ground, retracting my good wing as my tattered wing falls to the side*
(Just a bit, indeed. 🤌)(good afternoon Glorfy! Sorry...um...it got out of control a bit.😁)
Aulë, holding Yavanna's hand: And what is she doing here? 🤨*Glances over at Sauron and sighs* Yes yes 'Ron, you did well helping me on Mettarë's Eve. *Glances back at Írelilta* And what opportunities for redemption have you had?As if you two making kissy faces at each other wasn't enough, we have a fallen Valië and Morgoth being in love here.🤦
(Who are you again? I've been off TTF for a few months or so.... 😅 )(Just a bit, indeed. 🤌)
Redemption? *raises eyebrow* Well, I was hoping that at least Morgoth could be redeemed first....he seems to only listen to me, for some reason...*Glances back at Írelilta* And what opportunities for redemption have you had?
And....who is this Laurinalóte that you speak of, Unfallen Valie of Nature?
*blinks* Oh, err....like what....?Welcome back, Amaniel! I've heard much about thee.)
(I am Glorfindel Goldtress! Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo. We've not met before, but when I lurked on this forum, I spied on this and other threads, and got to "know" everyone that way. Then I joined, and the rest is history!)(Who are you again? I've been off TTF for a few months or so.... 😅 )
(All good stuff. You roleplay very well. *smiles*)*blinks* Oh, err....like what....?
Aulë: Morgoth forsook redemption when it was offered to him. His doom is laid and cannot be undone. Yours, however...Redemption? *raises eyebrow* Well, I was hoping that at least Morgoth could be redeemed first....he seems to only listen to me, for some reason...
Yavanna: These a patch of the original golden flowers I into existence sang are, sister to Celandine, whom I gave the ability to live like the Eldar.And....who is this Laurinalóte that you speak of, Unfallen Valie of Nature?
(Hmm....I've missed....a lot, it seems....)(I am Glorfindel Goldtress! Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo. We've not met before, but when I lurked on this forum, I spied on this and other threads, and got to "know" everyone that way. Then I joined, and the rest is history!)
(Aww, thanks!)(All good stuff. You roleplay very well. *smiles*)
His doom is laid, and cannot be undone? *eyes flash with passionate flames as I stride towards him and gaze at him intensely* Is that so? In all my power of Desire I should revoke that, then! You are not Mandos; what reason have you to speak of Doom, as though your portion it was?
*glances at Yavanna* Such a loving bond, as is the one between you two, is something I eternally desire yet perhaps can never have.Yavanna: These a patch of the original golden flowers I into existence sang are, sister to Celandine, whom I gave the ability to live like the Eldar.
Laurinalótë: You didn't mention it was an accident.
*Yavanna gives her a look while Aulë chuckles. Yavanna turns her look on him, and he grins sheepishly.*
Aulë: I may not be Námo, but I know his laws and the greater laws of Ilúvatar. *His gaze softens slightly* It is a hard lot to be in the position you are. But... you deserve better. His doom is laid, and cannot be undone? *eyes flash with passionate flames as I stride towards him and gaze at him intensely* Is that so? In all my power of Desire I should revoke that, then! You are not Mandos; what reason have you to speak of Doom, as though your portion it was?
Are we constrained? The weavings of Morgoth's discord were so subtle, those he ensnared in its web by the time the themes were complete, we were naive towards. Unfortunately, you were one of them. But it does not mean you will be forever this way. *Glances over at Sauron, who is tucking away his Elf hat for next year.**voice drops to a small murmur* And as for my own....fate, as you constrained Valar would call it....I am yet unsure.
*Yavanna, inclining her head slightly, is at a loss for words.*
Do I? And then what? You would let me return to Valinor? Constrain me? Rule over me? Not allow me to have my own will? *gazes at him sorrowfully*
I have been this way for long....long ago it was all of you who exiled me together from that fair city in Aman - a name of which I now speak not, for its very name pains my heart. The bitterness in my heart, the sorrows that haunt me, the ire and the passion....*narrows eyes and grasps his wrist suddenly* you are lucky that I am unarmed....*winces* Yet I should not desire to commit a Kinslaying to add to my other deeds, and warrant myself a true eternal exile. *releases him, gazing downwards in sorrow*Are we constrained? The weavings of Morgoth's discord were so subtle, those he ensnared in its web by the time the themes were complete, we were naive towards. Unfortunately, you were one of them. But it does not mean you will be forever this way. *Glances over at Sauron, who is tucking away his Elf hat for next year.*
*turns to Laurinalóte* I....I do not know. It is indeed that I feel something for him, however. Lust or love, I thus know not. Melkor has forever been rather....mysterious with his emotions, and so have I.
Aulë: This is not for me or Yavanna alone to decide. The discord of Morgoth lies heavy on your past, and it is not something to be easily discussed.Do I? And then what? You would let me return to Valinor? Constrain me? Rule over me? Not allow me to have my own will? *gazes at him sorrowfully*
Yavanna: The length of time under the twines of such a weight, not entirely caused by you, has served you... And hopefully you will be stronger for it.I have been this way for long....long ago it was all of you who exiled me together. The bitterness in my heart, the sorrows that haunt me, the ire and the passion...
*Bows her head, continuing* Much which occurred cannot be undone... But we are wiser for the happen-stances of these past ages. You have learned, and we have learned...Yet I should not desire to commit a Kinslaying to add to my other deeds, and warrant myself a true eternal exile.
Laurinalótë: Ah, well, 'tis a good thing I am here now. Can't let the mood fall so fast after Mettarë! *Glances around to the many who have stored their presents safely.**Maitimo gently pats Laurinalotë's leaves* Probably for the better that you missed it. Things were getting traumatic around here!
Ai! This is why I am single forever. I do not like the idea of being bound to some other plant. *Ignores the chuckling of others in the room.* From what my Valar have said, it sounds like Morgoth tricked you into whatever feelings you have because of his discord. I am befuddled with how this is possible, but this is the one who arose in might... Who can say?*turns to Laurinalóte* I....I do not know. It is indeed that I feel something for him, however. Lust or love, I thus know not. Melkor has forever been rather....mysterious with his emotions, and so have I.
Indeed, and who shall decide? Shall you bring me to the Ring of Doom before all the Valar, as you did with Morgoth and Feanor, and make me plead guilty for the discord I had wrought in Love and Desire? Shall you?
How so? Only have I fallen, and not risen any greater. My powers have diminished, my heart is torn in confusion. How is this stronger?Yavanna: The length of time under the twines of such a weight, not entirely caused by you, has served you... And hopefully you will be stronger for it.
Indeed....Melkor. 'Tis his true name. Yet, what if there is hope for him? Surely not all is lost, nay?Ai! Who can say?
Chocolate chip? Why can’t we just have a friendly gathering, without all the unnecessary strife and drama about Valar???
Who wants milk and cookies?
The only proper cookie to drown in milk! Fresh from the oven!Chocolate chip?
Aulë: No answer could I give for such a thing as this. *Glances over at the forlorn blue bag which had held the presents* My specialty is the craft of works and gifts.
I do not believe your fall is all which defines you. Ilúvatar's ways are beyond even those of the Valar, and as He spoke once before, His weaving of the Great Music is working for His glory... and the ways in which He is using us are also of great comfort. What you have suffered was wrought by the discord of Morgoth, but even such Ilúvatar can work through and make into something beautiful, even when we cannot see it. When Aulë's Lamps were destroyed, and when my Trees, the crown of my creation..., were destroyed, I was initially unable to understand and completely lost in my sorrow. I have seen now however the workings of Ilúvatar in these ages and understand better... *She pauses and shakes her head.* I may still at times lament their loss, but through their loss, much has come which none of us could imagine. Things greater than what could come from our thought...How so? Only have I fallen, and not risen any greater. My powers have diminished, my heart is torn in confusion. How is this stronger?
Laurinalótë: If he isn't Satan, I'll give him a chance. Celandine has her theory, and so do I.Indeed....Melkor. 'Tis his true name. Yet, what if there is hope for him? Surely not all is lost, nay?
I agree! This is too sorrowful for a time of rejoicing after Mettarë.Why can’t we just have a friendly gathering, without all the unnecessary strife and drama about Valar???
