Hair Dye, Cloning and General Epic Chaoticness

Welcome to the Chaotic RP of TTF! This is a fun, spontaneous, lighthearted, and most importantly, chaotic RP which is available to anyone who wishes to join. While our primary goal is to have fun, we have a few rules in order to keep some method to the madness.
  • Firstly, each character belongs to their respective TTF user. In other words, you can't write for a character if someone else has claimed that character. If you're new to the thread, please ask the group which characters are available before you claim one.
  • Even though this thread is chaotic and spontaneous, we do have a storyline going. If you're new to the thread, please read the most recent few pages, or more, so you're caught up on what's going on.
  • Make sure to interact with other people's characters. Don't just go off and write your own thing without interacting with anybody.
  • Don't completely ignore or change the storyline.
  • At the same time, please be flexible if someone introduces a new turn of the plot. This is not a carefully planned RP, and it needs to have flexibility for any chaotic new thing someone comes up with (within reason-- it does need to connect to the main story at least loosely).
  • If you are writing for multiple characters, use a script format to indicate which character is speaking. Use asterisks* to denote action. For example:
    • Maitimo: *tries to shake Celeraccoon off his arm* STOP BITING ME, TYELKO!
  • Try to keep spam to a minimum. I would define "spamming" in this thread as writing more than a page over the course of a few hours. (This can be a tough one to follow, I know.) But spamming makes it hard for other people to keep up.
  • At the same time, if you're going to be absent for an extended period of time, we recommend writing your character out temporarily (such as having them disappear or go somewhere) so other people can continue while you're gone.
That's all I can think of for now. If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to ask!

Haha, of course not, sister. I just did not want to assume, though I should have known better. 😉

And no, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind watching Lómion at all. He can hang out with his cousin, and she can spend some quality time with her nephew. ☺️

I guess when Curvo returns with Laurinalótë we can decide how we want to start out. In the meantime, I’m going to go pack my haversack and make sure Ereinion knows to stay with his mother. Lómion can come with me, if he’d like.

*In the workshop, Curufin removes the crystal-growing jars from the windowsill and puts them away in a dark cupboard. He retrieves a backpack from lower down and takes a look inside. Satisfied with what he sees, he retrieves a few more snacks from his bookshelf and adds them to the pack. He is about to close the cupboard and lift the pack to his shoulder, when he sees a glow from the crystal shelf. Already? Well, this might come in handy. He takes out a small jar with brightly-glowing blue crystals. They might need a light that won't go out, after all. A similar jar with purple crystals glows more faintly. He frowns, thinking. He might as well. Who knows what they might need to look for? He adds both jars to the bag and fastens it shut.*

*Curufin returns, now wearing sturdier boots and an extra shirt under his tunic. He is armed with his usual sword and dagger.*
'Sup, Tyelko?
*walks up to him*

*notices he doesn't look too good*
*puts a hand on his shoulder and looks him in the eye*

Even if all we can do is this, at least we're doing something. And we don't give up easily, do we? We're not coming back until...
*he hesitates, about to say 'until we know for sure what's happened to him', as he knows Maedhros could possibly be dead by the time they find him*
*instead, he switches to something marginally more hopeful, though still vague on detail*
...until we've got him back.

I think we brought back what looks like my favorite creation of Fëanor's. But what do I know about smithery? *Glances over at Aulë who has disappeared into his forge.* Wow, I see how it is.

Yavanna: I will oversee the fortress until you all return. Aulë has gone to fetch tools for reinforcing it. *Smiles gently.* Hope there is found to be on this quest.

Laurinalótë: As I like to say, aurë entuluva!

*after leaving Ereinion and Lómion with Ereinion’s mother, Fingon goes to his room to pack his things. He pulls out his haversack and stuffs in any essentials, including basic medical supplies and a map. Spying his harp laying aside, he packs it too because, why not? It proved useful last time he did this.

He changes into clothing suitable for long travel and straps his sword and dagger onto his belt, then dons his cloak before gathering up his bow and quiver and sack. He stops by the kitchens to pack some dried meats, fruits, and bread, and to fill a water skin before heading back outside to meet with the others.

This all feels far too familiar to the last time he set out to rescue Maitimo, and he tries to tell himself it will not have such a devastating turnout. The big difference this time is, he won’t be alone, and they’re acting sooner than before. He just needs to stay focused on the goal of finding Maitimo, and not think about what torture he might be enduring…
*

*finding the others gathered outside, he joins them* Everyone ready to go?

*after gearing up and stuffing his pockets with every dagger and knife he owns, he gets back to the room. He kneels in front of Huan and hugs him wordlessly, speaking through their connection*
We'll make it this time, my friend.
*Huan’s tail thumps in agreement. “Not turning back until he’s found and safe.

“…Make sure Írissë brings her compass, just in case she gets separated. Again.”
*

*ties a rope around Írissë's waist and ties the other end around his own*
Here.
*checks the ropes and tugs on the knots with his teeth. “It’s a good start.”*

*Fingon watches in amusement* I can only imagine how well this could possibly go by having you two tied together, or how long it could last. At least Íri should start out with us just fine. 😂

Íri: ropes of fate linking us to each other, bestie.
Tyelko: hello Íri. I'm fate.
Better than calling it a “Get Along Rope” or something, like fathers would do if their kids fought all the time. Tie the kids close together, and force them to work together to achieve something. Only then would the rope be removed.

But what do I know? We were always well behaved enough Atar didn’t have to worry about us killing one another. Right, Íri?

*Curufin finds this funny*

*Then he is reminded of the last time Aredhel got lost, which eventually ended with Eöl. He scowls at the thought of him, and he wishes he had, in fact, murdered that excuse for an Elf, despite it likely causing a feud between the Sindar of Doriath and his family. And another one between himself and his more diplomatic brothers, but oh well.*

*he sighs* Well, we may run into sorcery, trickery and monstrous terrors on the way, but at least there are no more pathetic black-armoured Dark Elves lurking around. Much as I would like to personally acquaint one with my blade, if he were here.

Huh! Must be an interesting family dynamic to have. Right, Tyelko? *turns to him, looking mock surprised*
Ha ha, very funny, Curvo.

What's...get along?
You know, it’s when two or more people can be in each other’s presence without trying to bite the other person’s head off… Wait, that was a bad example. You bite people all the time.

Um… You definitely know what it means to not get along. You irritate Káno to no end. Uncle Fëanor can’t stand his brothers. Constantly arguing and purposely bugging the other person. That kind of stuff.

Well, getting along is like… Maitimo and me, or you and Íri or Curvo or Huan. No fighting, and you can work well with them. You make a good team.

I don’t know if this is making any sense. Laurinalótë, do you have any better explanations for getting along? Maybe as a flower, you have a different perspective here.

*Fondly looks at Íri before tugging on the rope, making her fall into his arms as he gives her a bear hug*
Íri: ^-^
Laurinalótë: They got it. 😁
So... The fact I am in three locations means I shall be everywhere at once!

Yavanna: This does not omnipotent make you.

Laurinalótë: Way to darken my dreams.
feeling-down-sad.gif

Aulë: So you shall be flying on Maedhros' head, sitting on Curufin's head, and here in the vase? How will you help reinforce the barricade?

Laurinalótë: My lady's vines are reinforcing it, but I suppose I can add myself to it from my vase.

Now this is really the Girdle of Laurinalótë! *Sighs, recalling Maitimo is the one who came up with the name.* We will find you! Even though I already have!
