How do Azog and his armies affect the upcoming 👹Uruk hai?

Unsurprisingly, Tolkien himself dismissed adaptations of his work. This is what he said about dramatic representations of his work:

"In human art Fantasy is a thing best left to words, to true literature. ... Drama is naturally hostile to Fantasy. Fantasy, even of the simplest kind, hardly ever succeeds in Drama, when that is presented as it should be, visibly and audibly acted." - J.R.R. Tolkien, "On Fairy Stories"
1939

Also, when presented a script for a film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings by Morton Grady Zimmerman, Tolkien wrote:

"I would ask them to make an effort of imagination sufficient to understand the irritation (and on occasion the resentment) of an author, who finds, increasingly as he proceeds, his work treated as it would seem carelessly in general, in places recklessly, and with no evident signs of any appreciation of what it is all about."

Tolkien was not implacably opposed to a dramatic adaptations, however. But this just goes to show, that in some cases, Fantasy should be kept as literature.

He did say though that in the future there would be many who would complete or actually continue his work using different media. I read it though I must supply the exact source.

In A Brief History Of The Hobbit John Rateliff sheds some light on this. It might not be PJs fault after all, JRR might not have developed the orc culture well enough on finishing The Hobbit

As regards to the size on page 85 "11. The goblin-chief is referred to in lower case; variously as 'the big goblin', 'the great goblin x" which evolves into a proper name Great Goblin and King this goblin was indeed large in PJs movie.'

Regarding a possible manufactured night ( during day time) in preparation for the battle: "Suddenly a darkness came on with dreadful swiftness. A dark cloud hurried over the sky." Pg 400 same book.
