Singer-songwriter Melanie Safka died on the 23rd of January at the age 76.
I really liked her voice and loved the fun song Brand New Key when it was played on KOL 1300 AM in 1971, but discovered so many of her other songs later in the 1970s on KZAM 92.5 FM.
Rest in Peace Melanie.
