🎶Music during the storming of Isengard - crappy?

Does anyone else think the music during the Ents' storming of Isengard is a waste? Not the nice choir boy nature theme played as they march toward Isengard but the 'action/suspense' music played as they destroy it. It becomes halfway decent as they start to break the dam but overall I call this section basically 'throwaway score.' Right after the absolute highlight of the film's score (the Rohirrim's charge down the hill) we have this generic composition. I think the storming of Isengard could've been so much more with a more creative piece of music under it. Something less action-esque with more of a theme to it. A full orchestral (and choral) triumphant rendition of the here to for rather demure nature theme would've probably been the best. Anyone else less than impressed with the music of this scene?

Heck no man, all the music from LOTR trilogy is awesome. Its perfectly writen and scripted within the movies!!!

I don't have a good ear for film-music (I hardly notice it usually), but my brother tends to pay a lot of attention to things like that. He thought the music for FotR could have been done much better and he thought the music for Gladiator (with Russel Crowe) was better than the movie itself. Maybe that gives you an idea about his judgement.
I haven't heard him about this particular scene, but overall he thought the music was a lot better this time.

I like it a lot, but it took me while to appreciate it. So maybe you just need to hear it more often.

without exception?

I really love the vast majority of the music. 3 major exceptions are:

1) storming of Isengard (explained above)

2) Sauron's theme. It's a nice piece of music but I don't find it to be fitting. It seems more "cartoon villan" than "scary, ominious, most evil and powerful and yet extraodinarily cunning and intelligent being" type music. It's either not scary enough or not mysterious enough.

3) Specific rendition of the Ringwraith theme on Weathertop. Again, very nice piece of music on it's own but totally unfitting to the scene. Not nearly scary enough for the moment.
