New Lord of the Rings Board Game

Hey! These last few months, my family and I have been playing a ton of board games like Ticket to ride and Trekking. I had an idea recently to blend my love for these games and all things Tolkien, and create a custom made LOTR edition. I wanted to do everything from scratch so used Photoshop to create the art/graphics for the following;

- Board Map of Middle Earth
- Hero Cards (75)
- Destination Cards (48)
- Journey Cards (10)
- Souvenire/Artifact Card (4)
- Collection Cards (5)
- Game Box

Also, I wanted the currency for the game to have some weight so got these cool Gondor/Moria coins along with some gems for some variaty.

Having tested this out for the last few months. I feel very happy with the final result and would love to make more LOTR editions of Boards games. Feel free share your thoughts and if you have any ideas of other Board Games I could do!

Wow, this is amazing! I'm actually in awe of the creativity and work involved here.

As for other board games, I wouldn't know; Civilization, maybe? I wonder if something could be done with the Wingspan series. I've never played these, so am ignorant of how they might be adapted.

Hello! Yes I would love to introduce myself. I am Farmer Maggot Games, based in England. Igrew up watching the films, reading the books (first book was an old copy of The Hobbit given to me by my Grandfather). Since then I have always loved playing Lord of the Rings board games, however I felt like there wasn’t much around.

I had used Photoshop since college so I thought I would have a go at creating my first one, which turned out to be a success. I have now finished my second one and would love to do more!

Thanks these are great ideas, I love Wingspan so that could be my next one. I have actually just finished in preparing the print for my Cascadia Middle Earth version so ready for the next one.
