peppers as military weapons

Peppers are such destructive and cheap material to cause mass personnel casualties, yet seldom mentioned by JRRT to be used as military weapons, at least according to all the already read sources about JRRT by me. The majority of Free People military operations were mostly defensive positional warfare, anti personnel weapons would be a very prefered choice for the Free People to develope, is there any JRRT sources relative, or any thought?

Why did Tolkien not refer to them? Possibly because he is dealing in deep history, before 'peppers' were even a thought in anyone's military arsenal.

Ent cannot recall, even in Roman times, peppers being available for use. And Roman times are ages beyond Middle-earth's setting.

To refer to 'peppers' with regard to Middle-earth would be as big a gaffe as was the jet trails seen in the sky in that one scene in The Ten Commandments.

Middle-earth and peppers would be a bit of an oxymoron.
