There was the strikes. This isn't the only show that is late in coming after two years. Several shows I watched two years ago are only now having their next 'season' premiering. That, and I think the earlier pandemic has made the studios a bit lazy in their schedules anyway. The concept of a 'season' has gone out the window long ago. A 'season' of 20 episodes became 'seasons' of 13, then 10, then 8, and now you're lucky to get 8.
