Same jug in Meduseld and Minas Tirith?

The jug Pippin uses to replace the palantír in Gandalf's arms in Edoras bears a striking resemblance to the jug he later uses in Minas Tirith to pour Gandalf some water.

Even if it's a different prop (the markings are similar, but not quite identical), I was surprised to find the same pottery supplying both Rohan and Gondor. Any insights?

I think it is the same.

Out-of-universe, why make two different jugs if one will serve?
In-universe, maybe Rohan imports pottery from Gondor? We know they import armour.

Given that 48,000 pieces were made for the trilogy, I'm surprised a different design for a pitcher wasn't created – especially as both cultures' aesthetic is so painstakingly distinctive.

If you have a reference to Rohan importing Gondorian armour, I'd certainly be interested in reading it! And you're probably right that the jug looks more Gondorian than Rohanese.

It's simple, these jugs were made by the same Guild I guess. Further, it's the film version, maybe PJ wanted to save budget XD
