Second-guessing and Misunderstanding Tolkien

Actually Tolkien had quite a lot of notes on Savantsquatches, more even than on ME. He devoted one whole section of his personal library to his notes and sketches on them. Then as with so much of his notes and scribblings on ME, he died before actually turning them into a coherent Story. That is, it was left to Christopher Tolkien to make sense of them, or as Bilbo might say, knock them into shape.
Christopher, ever respectful of his father's works, carefully looked over the notes and, one painstaking page at a time, burned them.

Can I burn this explanation?

Just jesting.

"In a hole (in someone's head) there lived a Savantasquatch..."

"They couldn't hit an elephant at this dista--"

Last words of Major General John Sedgewick, Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse, 1864.
Jeez -- apologies for starting a multi-page derailing, Radaghast. 😥

But while I'm here, another example:

"Put that bloody cigarette out!"

Last words of H.H.Munro ("Saki"), November 1916

As I suspected, another 'Quora Prompt Generator' question.

Eru gave Olórin an upgrade. Why didn't he do it properly, with a high Tulkas ability? Gandalf could then have stomped right up to Barad-dûr (squashing several thousand Orcs on the way like so many ants), kicked that silly tower over like a sand castle, and drop-kicked Sauron straight into orbit (aka the Void). 🤓
